Obituaries
JULIA WILSON NEAL
   Julia Wilson Neal, 81, of Center died October 8, 2004, in Nacogdoches.  Burial was in Mt. Herman Cemetery.  Born March 18,. 1923, in Nacogdoches County, she was the daughter of William Porter Denton and Mary Runnels Denton Mancil.  She was married first to Buren Wilson and he preceded her in death.  Sons, Royce Lynn Wilson and James Wilson also preceded her in death.  survivors include husband R.B. Neal of Center; daughter, Janice Warr of Center. Mangum Funeral Home.
DARRELL VAUGHN
   Darrell Vaughn, 67, of Center died October 9, 2004, in Center.  Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park.  Born June 15, 1937, in Huxley, he was the son of A.H. Vaughn and Hazel English Vaughn.  He was graduated form Shelbyville High and owner of Jack's Saw Shop.  Mr. Vaughn was married to Kathryn Vaughn, and she preceded him in death.  Survivors include daughters, Deidra Hughes and Sheri Hribal, both of Center; son, Darren Vaught of Center; mother, Hazel Vaughn of Huxley; sisters, Marie Permenter of Huxley and Janice Moody of Center; brothers, Marlie Vaughn of Shelbyville, Prentice Vaughn of Huxley, Robert Jerry Vaughn of Houston, Larry Vaughn, Jackie Vaughn, and Gerald Vaughn, all of Huxley, Waylon Vaughn of Center.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
DOROTHY REEDER BARKSDALE
   Dorothy Reeder Barksdale, 70 of Dallas died October 8, 2004, in Dallas.  Burial was in Old Salem Cemetery, Shelby County.  Born July 24, 1934, in San Augustine, she was the daughter of Bennie Sharpton and Altonia Wankan.  She was a manufacturer representative.  Survivors include husband Frank D. Barksdale, Jr. of Dallas; son, Georffrey Reeder of Spring.  Wyman Funeral Home.
DWAYNE ALLEN DYESS II
   Dwayne Allen Dyess, II, Infant, died October 11, 2004 in Center.  Burial was in Sholar Cemetery.  Born August 26, 2004, he was the son of Dwayne and Stephanie Dyess of Joaquin.  Survivors include his parents; grandparents, Larry and Janet Dyess of Carthage, Randy and Leah Parker of Branson, Missouri, and Shelia Stafford of Mansfield, Louisiana. Mangum Funeral Home.
JOHNNIE BOYETT
   Johnnie Boyett, 72, of Joaquin died October 7, 2004 at his residence.  Burial was in Brookland Cemetery, Joaquin.  Born February 29, 1932, in San Augustine, he was the son of Johnny H. Boyett and Audrey Barnett Boyett.  Mr. Boyett was preceded in death by his parents Johnny Boyett and Audrey Barnett Boyett and Daughter, Donna Sue Boyett Bell.  He was employed by Joaquin School District. Survivors include his wife, Bernice Boyett of Joaquin; sons, Johnnie Joe Boyett, Wayne Boyett and Jackie Boyett, all of Joaquin;  daughter, Mary Stanley of Joaquin.  Mangum Funeral Home.
DELVIN ALYENE PARRISH RAINS
   Delvin Alyene Parrish Rains, 77, of Huntington died October 12, 2004 at her residence.  Burial was in White Rock Cemetery, Shelby County.  Born April 24, 1927, in San Augustine County, she was the daughter of John Dosey and Altie Mae Wagstaff Parrish.  Mrs. Rains was a homemaker.  She was preceded in death by sisters, Melba Bush and Faye Green and brother J.D. Parrish.  Survivors include husband, L.C. Rains of Huntington; daughters, Martha Watson of Lufkin Mary Williams of Redland and Deberah Murphy of Huntington, Clara Oden Rains of Huntington, Linda Robinson of Thorsby, Alabama, Lisha Hammock of Huntington; son Luther Rains of Huntington; sisters, Helen Anderson of Lufkin, Inez Campbell of Center.  Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home.
REV. CURTIS ROBERTS
   Rev. Curtis Roberts, 69, of Shelbyville died October 12, 2004, in his residence.  Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park.  Born November 22, 1934, in Pardee, Virginia, he was the son of Verner Roberts and Hazel Frazier Roberts.  Rev. Roberts was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served during the Korean conflict.  Survivors include his wife, Doris Roberts of Shelbyville; daughters, Sandra Lindley, Ramona Mason of St. Charles, Missouri and Rhonda Wagner of Martinsville, Indiana; sisters, Ellen Kilgore of Greensburg, Indiana; brother, Verner Roberts, Jr. of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
JAMES A. LLOYD
   James A. Lloyd, 55, died September 30, 2004.  Burial was in St. John Cemetery, Tenaha.  Born January 26, 1929, he was the son of Oreatha Lloyd.  Survivors include father James Lloyd and wife Evelyne; brothers, Charlie Lloyd, Michael Lloyd, John Lloyd, Willie Lloyd, William Lloyd, Royce Lloyd, Clifford Lloyd, Billy Roberson, Bruce Lloyd, Chris Goss and Farron Fields; sisters, Janice Jacquot, Carolyn Adams, Cynthia Newsome, Fredia Williams, Rose White, Meldenise Lloyd, Rose Jones and Phyllis Norseweather.  Community Funeral Home.
DAISY BRIDWELL
   Daisy Bridwell, 65, of Center died October 10, 2004 in Texas City.  Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park.  Born December 30, 1938, in Center, she was the daughter of Leamon Harvey and Ruth Haley Bridwell.  Ms. Bridwell was a teacher in Joaquin and Tenaha and librarian  for Center Schools.  She was preceded in death by her father Leamon H. Bridwell.  Survivors include mother, Ruth Haley Bridwell of Center; brothers, Buddy Bridwell of Center and James H. Bridwell of Round Rock;  sister, Bobbie Jean White of Santa Fe.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
