1st Annual Fountain Family Reunion will be held at 10 AM until ??? October 25, 2008 at Community Center, San Augustine Street, Center, Texas.  A special gathering for all the descendants of Robert Jackson Fountain and Martha Potts Fountain.      Mary Eloise Lahti, age 64 of Center died October 11, 2008. Burial was in Antioch Cemetery, Shelby County. Preceded in death by Parents, Eiland and Estell Jones; Husband, John Lahti; Brother, James Jones. Survivors include, Daughter: Deborah Odum of Magnolia; Sisters, Sue Pilgrim of Blanco, Evelyn Green of Center; Brothers, Larry Dale Jones of Center, Larry Eugene Jones of Center, Donald Jones of Center.

    Logan Andrew Cole, 11 days old, of Huxley, died October 13, 2008 at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. Graveside services will be held October 18, 2008 at Strong Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born October 2, 2008 in Nacogdoches to Bryce Elliott Cole and Laura Elizabeth Hendricks Cole. Survivors include, Parents; Brother, Zachary Riley; Grandparents, Shannon Hendricks of Muenster, Joan Allen of Longmeadow, Massachusetts, Garold & Patricia Cole of Dudley, Massachusetts.

    Bruce Martin, 61, of Shelbyville, died October 13, 2008 in Tyler. Burial will be in Sample Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born August 25, 1947 to Quillon Oswell Martin and Lessie (Bridges) Martin. He was preceded in death by his Parents; brother-in-law, Tommy Hardy. Survivors include, Wife: Vickie Sample Martin of Shelbyville; Sons, Allen Sean Martin of San Marcos, Kevin Heath Martin of North Carolina; Daughter, Jennifer J. Ford of Shelbyville; Sister, Margaret Hardy of Martinsville; Brother, Lamar Martin of Martinsville.

    Douglas Wayne Smith, 66, of Center, died October 15, 2008 at his home. Burial will be in Old Salem Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born December 7, 1941 in Shelby County to Homer E. Smith and Velma O. Luman Smith. Preceded in death by, Father, Homer (Jack) Smith; Sister, Kathy Smith. Survivors include, Daughter, Valerie O. Smith of Clifton, Virginia; Mother, Velma O. Smith of Center; Sisters, Betty Sue McSwain of Deadwood, Jeanene Porter of Deadwood, Linda Scott of Deadwood; Brother, Gene Edward Smith of Center.

    Doris Osby Bell, 90, died September 28, 2008.  Burial was in Mt. Gillian Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born September 21, 1918 to Cecil and Charlie Osby, Sr.  Survivors include, Husband, Oscar Bell, Sr.; Son, Oscar Bell, Jr.             Hicks Mortuary.
