Tommie Lea Alvis, 67, of Center, died October 18, 2010 in Lufkin. Burial was in Smith Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born December 19, 1942 in Los Angeles, California to Marshall Neil Alvis and Grace Elizabeth Mason Alvis. He was preceded in death by, Son, Tommie Lea Alvis, Jr.; Daughter, Quinca Sioux. Survivors include,
Sons, John Alvis & wife Jennie of Shelbyville, James Alvis & wife Lori or Shelbyville, Jason Alvis & wife Lisa of Shelbyville; Daughter, Jennifer Jackson & husband Brian of Shelbyville; Brother, Robert Neil Alvis & & wife Phyliss of Pahrump, Nevada; Sisters, Marsha Black & husband Lowel of Rancho Cordova, California, Marylee Evans & husband L.B. of Joaquin, Pat Roberts & husband Ed of Center, Karen Cannon & husband Jack of Carmichael, California.

LOLA DEE "PEGGY" STANLEY BALLARD
Peggy Ballard, 98, of Carthage, Texas, died October 21, 2010. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center, Texas. Lola Dee “Peggy” Stanley Ballard was born on January 24, 1912, in Panola County, Texas to John Edward Chesley Stanley and Martha Susan Mathias Stanley. She was preceded in death by, Husband, Richard Aaron Ballard; Son, Richard Stanley Ballard; All of her siblings. Survivors include, Daughter, Nancy Mills & husband Chester of Carthage; Daughter-in-law, Rebekah Ballard of Lewisville. She was a teacher for over 40 years, having taught at Center and Logansport.

MARIE RATCLIFF TUTT
Marie Ratcliff Tutt, 71, of Timpson, died October 13, 2010. Burial was in Friendship BoBo Cemetery, Shelby County. She was born December 30, 1934 to Lee Ratcliff and Mary Carroway Ratcliff. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include, Daughters, Evet Williams (Johnny) of Timpson, Shavhan McClendon of Houston; Son, Ethan Tutt of Timpson; Brother, Alzo Ratcliff of Mattain, Texas.
