Kriston (Kris) Curtis Eaves, 46, of Center, died October 15, 2025, in Center.  Interment was in Buckner Cemetery, Shelby County.  He was born November 28, 1978, to Curtis Eaves and Kathy Eaves Wilburn.  He was preceded in death by, Stepfather, William Glenn Wilburn.  Survivors include, Daughters, Madelyn Eaves, Chloe and husband Dylan Whittlesey; Father, Curtis Eaves; Mother, Kathy Eaves Wilburn; Sister, Misty and husband Brandon Fagan; Stepbrothers, Jason Wilburn, Sean Wilburn.

PHYLLIS HOLT ADAMS
Phyllis Holt Adams, 75, of Center, died October 16, 2025, in Center.  Interment was in Mt. Herman Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born April 11, 1950, in Center, to  J.T. Holt and Eldora Koonce Holt.  She was preceded in death by, Son, Timothy Fane Adams; Parents; Brother, Jerry Holt; Sister-in-law, Dana Fountain and husband Bert Fountain; Brothers-in-law, Randy Adams, Mark Adams, Dean Adams; Father-in-law and mother-in-law, George F. CARROLL RAY MILLER
Carroll Ray “Buddy” Miller, 72, of Joaquin, died October 16, 2025, at his home in Joaquin.  Interment was in Timpson Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Shelby County.  He was born March 19, 1953, in Center, Texas, to Calvin Miller and Shorty and Anne Lowe.  He was a graduate of Center High School, class of 1972. He served his country in the U.S. Navy, serving 3 years active duty during the Vietnam War and 6 years U.S. Navy reserves.  He was preceded in death by, Wife, Ruth Miller; Father, Calvin Miller; Mother, Anne Keith Lowe; Dad, Shorty Lowe; Brother-in-law, Charles Towns.  Survivors include, Sister, Gereldine Miller Bridges of Joaquin, Texas; Children, Sandra Chapman of Nacogdoches, Texas, Sheri Basham and Jessie of Tenaha, Texas.

MELBA JEAN HARPER PATTON
Melba Jean Harper Patton, 89, of Center, Texas, died at Nacogdoches Memorial in Nacogdoches, Texas on October 16, 2025. Interment was in Thompson Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born to the late Elzie Harper and Bethena Nobles Harper on December 25, 1935, in Center, Texas.  Survivors include, Sons, Lenard Patton Rounney) of Garland, Texas, Frederick Patton of Center, Roger Patton of Center; Brother, Curtis Harper of Center; Sisters, Eria Johnson (Charles), Lula Mae Moore (Zebedee), Cora Williams (Benny), Shirley Dupree (James).

RONALD BANKS SAMFORD
Ronald Banks Samford, 64, of Joaquin, Texas, died October 21, 2025, in Joaquin. Interment was in Ramah Cemetery, Shelby County.  He was born on March 29, 1961, in Baytown, Texas, to Billy Banks Samford and Shirley Faye (Wilson) Samford.  He  graduated from Tenaha High School in 1979. He joined the military after high school and graduated from the U.S. Air Force Tech School at Lowry AFB Colorado for Imagery Systems Maintenance Specialist in 1981. After serving his country from 1980-1984, Ronny returned to Shelby County.  He was preceded in death by, Parents.  Survivors include, Wife, Rhonda Samford; Sons, Nicholas Banks Samford and wife Jasmine Lindsey, Jacob Christopher Samford and wife Madison, Forrest Duane Pelletier; Brother, Sammy Samford; Sister, Vicky Rankin and husband Randy.

KENNETH WAYNE ANDERSON
Kenneth Wayne Anderson, 88, of Center, Texas, died October 19, 2025. Interment was in Smith Cemetery, Shelby County.  He was born on April 26, 1937, in Joaquin, Texas, to George and Carrie Anderson.  He was preceded in death by, Wife, Joanne; Brother,  Lloyd; Sister, Jane Anderson.  Survivors include, Sisters, Sharon Boulter,  Sheila Hadley; Sister-in-law, Sylvia Anderson; Daughter, Vicki Anderson; Son, Wayne & wife Robie.
