Obituaries
WALTER K. SAMUELS---Walter Samuesl, 50, of Tenaha, died October 14, 2002. Burial was in St. John's Cemetery, Tenaha.  Born October 15, 1952, he was the son of Lois an dCharlie Samuels, Jr.  Mr. Samuels was preceded in death vy his parets, Lois and Charlie Samuels, Jr.  He is survived by his sister Georgia E. Houston, Barbara A. Samuels, Margaret F. Adams, Soristine Samuels, Mavel E. Samuels and Ethle M. Samuels, of   Houston; brothers, Charlie T. Samuels, III of Tenaha and Richard A. Samuels of Kansas City, Missouri; step Daughter, Kunta Tuner of Houston.  Hicks Funeral Home.
GAY WILSON---Gay Wilson, 98, of Center, died October 176, 2002 at Holiday Nursing Home.  Burial was in Lone Cedar Cemtery.  Born April 23, 1904, he was teh son of John Ellis and Callie Oates Wilson of Joaquin.  Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her parents, John Ellis Wilson and Callie Oates Wilson; four sisters and three brothers;  She is survived by her sister, Nylon Fults of Center; sister-in-law, Billie L. Wilson of Center.  Mangum Funeral Home.
CHARLIE PAXTON---Charlie Paxton, 78, of Joaquin died October 22, 2002 in Nacogdoches.  Burial was in Restland Cemetery.  Born April 10. 1924, in Shelby County, he was the son of Alex and Mary Casper Paxton.  Mr. Paxton is survived by his sons Johnny Paxton of Logansport, Charles Paxton of Center and Larry Paxton of Lufkin; daughters, Betty Carroll of Joaquin and Sheila McGee of Joaquin.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home
