Morgan Harris, 76, lifelong resident of Center, died October 29, 2011 at his residence. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born November 3, 1934 to Levi Morgan Harris, Sr and Iva Dell Samford Harris. He served his country in the U. S. Army for 2 years in Germany. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include, Wife, Mary Harris of Center; Daughters, Mary Renfro & husband, Joe of Lufkin, Alyson Porter & husband, Chance of Center.

O. L. Prothro, 69, of Joaquin, died October 26, 2011 at his residence. Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center, Texas. He was born in Natchitoches, Louisiana on November 16, 1941 to Otha Prothro Sr. and Olline Conn Prothro. Mr. Prothro served his country in the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents. She was preceded in death by, Parents; Husbands, Robert Neal McFadden, Sr., Marion Leo Hayes; Son, Robert Neal McFadden, Jr.; Brothers and Sisters, Thelma McCauley Tillman, Celeste Lindsey, Ellis Benton Tyer, Barksdale Crenshaw, Sallee Simonds, Eugene Debbs Tyer, Leonard Dean Tyer, and Janelle Edwards. Survivors include, Daughter, Sharon Camper & husband, Jim.

Wanda Sue Coats, 63, of Center, died October 31, 2011 at her residence. Burial was in Old Salem Cemetery, Shelby County. DOWELL D. YOUNGBLOOD
Dowell D. Youngblood, 81, of Center, died October 28, 2011 in Center. Burial was in Mt. Herman Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born in Shelby County on February 9, 1930 to Arthur Dee Youngblood and Cora McKenzie Youngblood. Mr. Youngblood served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. Dowell was one of our most dependable volunteers at the Shelby County Museum & Genealogical Library for many years. His “museum family” is deeply saddened by his death. He was preceded in death by, Parents; Brothers, Everett D. Youngblood, John D. Youngblood, Roy D. Youngblood. Survivors include, Brothers, Steve Youngblood & wife, Sandra of San Marcos, C. D. Youngblood & wife, Jean of Stephenville, Douglas Arthur Youngblood & wife, Bess of Aiken; Sister, Eula Hendricks & husband, Jerry of Tomball; Aunt, Elsie T. Rudd of Center.  Sisters-in-law; Mary Katherine Youngblood, widow of Everett David Youngblood, of Huntsville, Merle Youngblood, widow of John Dee Youngblood, of Kingwood, Sherrie Youngblood, widow of Roy Donald Youngblood, of Belin, New Mexico.

Clara B. Noles, just one week short of her 96th birthday, died September 26, 2011. She was born on October 2, 1915 to Clyde and Kate Brown in the East Texas town of Joaquin. Survivors include, Son, Jerry Noles (Deanne); Daughter, Kathy Noles Shapiro (Jeff); Grandchildren, Ryan, Amanda, Jonathan, and Jacob.
