BILLY MARVIN JONES
   Billy Marvin Jones, 70, of Carthage died October 29, 2005 in Shreveport, Louisiana.  Burial was in Ramah Cemetery, Shelby County.  Born June 21, 1953, in Shelby County, he was the son of William Henry Jones and Malisa Pearl Wade.  Survivors include his wife, Mary Jones of Carthage; Sons, Billy W. Jones of Pulaski, Virginia, Tim Jones of Beckville and Nathan Jones of Rucal Retreat Virginia; Daughters, Charles Rigdon of Fairfield, Lori Hartley of Carthange, Malisa Laffitte of Mansfield and Kahlan Gilliam Howe; Sister, Myrtlene Kirk of Henderson.  Mangum Funeral Home.
RACHEL VAUGHT SAMFORD
   Rachel Vaught Samford, 88, of Stockman Community died October 28, 2005, in Stockman Community.  Burial was in Mt. Olive Cemetery.  Born October 3, 1917, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of James Oscar Vaught and Lena Francis Vaught,  Mrs. Samford was a homemaker.  She was married to W. J. Samford, Jr., and he preceded her in death.  Survivors include sons, Jimmy Dane Samford and Mac Samford, both of Stockman and J. W. Samford of Timpson; Daughter, Kay Sanders of Stockman; Brothers, Loral Vaught of Silsbee, Maxwell Vaught of Humble and Johnny Vaught of Orange; Sisters, Vernell Malone of Center, Shirley Fancher of Stockman, Mae Minton of Center and Faye Bolton of Timpson.  Garrison Funeral Home.
