Descendants of Willis M. and Mary Elizabeth (Pugh) Glaze are meeting on Saturday, November 9, 2002, at Chambers Park in Lufkin, TX.  There will be a large pot luck buffet, so please bring your favorite dish - the meeting will be from around 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Utensils and plates and such provided.    Descendants of Willis and Mary include the descendants of:  Jesse Austin Glaze, Jackson Glaze, Thomas David Glaze, and Leslie Henry Glaze.  All welcome!

CORENE BARTON---Corene Bartin, 91, of Center died November 3, 2002 in Center.  Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.  born November 18, 1910, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Joseph Edward and Alice Askew Busbee.  Mrs. Barton was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Edward Barton.  Survivors include son, William J. Barton of Center; brother, Hubert Busbee of San Augustine.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
EDITH MARY LACY GAULT MAYFIELD---Edith Mayfield, 81, of Conroe, died November 3, 2002 in Houston.  Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.  Born February 11, 1921, she was the daughter of Turk and Annie Mae Jones Lacy.  Survivors include husband, Eugene Mayfield of Conroe; son John Thomas Gault of Houston; daughter, Meg Albertelli of Katy; sister, Jane Adams of Houston.  Mangum Funeral Home.
TOMMY CAMPBELL---Tommy Campbell, 66, of Center, died November 4, 2002 in Center. Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park.  Born December 20, 1935, in Shelby County, he was the son of Frances Mariona and Lizzie Mae Huckabay Campbell.  Survivors include his wife, Joy Campbell; son, Steve Campbell of Center; daughters, Sonya Anthony and Stacy Spruiell, both of Center; brother John Campbell of Roswell, Georgia, Ken Campbell of Timpson, Maxie Campbell of Flower Mound, Jerry Campbell of Lewsiville and Coy Campbell and Glen Campbell both of Center; sisters, Eula Worsham, Billye Cather and Sue Davis all of Center.   Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
BIRDIE ALBERTA JENNINGS MCCOLLISTER--Alberta McCollister, 106, died October 26,  2002.  Burial was in Westview Cemetery. Born February 10, 1896, she was the daughter of Philip and Martha Jennings.  Mrs. McCollister was preceded in death by her husband Mark McCollister.  She is survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Hicks Mortuary.
THOMAS HERSCHELL BRITTAIN, SR.--Thomas Brittain, 88, of Shelbyville, died November 4, 2002 in Center.  Burial was in West Hamilton Cemetery. Born December 26, 1913, in Shelby County, he was the son of Hearne and Nettie Eddins Brittain.  He was married to Billie Gladys Welborn Brittain, and she preceded him in death.  Survivors include daughter, Ruby Shirley Brittain Vincent of Sulphur, Louisiana; sons, Dane Alan Brittain of Shreveport, Louisiana, Grady Billy Britain of Salado and Thomas Herschell Brittain, Jr. of Palestine; sisters, Oneita Brittain Vaught of Huxley and Margie Brittain Lunday of Austonio; brother, Ben J. ARTHUR WILLIAM WHEELER---Arthur Wheeler, 87,of Timpson, died November 4, 2002 in Nacogdoches.  Burial was in White Rock Cemetery, Shelby County.  Born July 23, 1915, in the Blackjack Community, he was the son of Warner and Artie Mae Holt Wheeler.  He was married to Annie Ruth West Wheeler and she preceded him in death.   Survivors include, daughter, Marie Henderson of Houston and Terry Berthelot and Sherri Angelo, both of Timpson; brother, Arland Wheeler of Garrison; sister Maurine Witt of Nacogdoches.  Garrison Funeral Home.
OLY LOUIS HICKS---Louis Hicks, 77, of Center, died November 5, 2002 in Nacogdoches.  Burial was in Grand View Memorial Park, Pasadena.  Born August 22, 1925, in Groveton, he was the son of B.k. and Bennie Rasbeary Hicks.  Survivors include his wife, Rose Hicks of Center; daughters, Linda Michael Louis Hicks of LaPorte.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
ODELL WAGSTAFF---Odell Wagstaff, 87, of Center, died November 7, 2002 in San Augustine.  Burial was in Reynolds Cemetery.  Born November 21, 1914, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Will and Nannie Payne Blackstock.  Mrs. Wagstaff was married to Elzie Wagstaff and he preceded her in death.  Survivors include sons, Laurie Wagstaff of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Darrell Wagstaff of Orange and Phillip Wagstaff of Groves; sisters, Adell Smith of San Augustine, Etah Donahoe of Hemphill and Rena Jean mills of Lumberton; brothers, Jimmy Blackstock of Center, Clifton Blackstock of Lumberton and Burnice Blackstock of Lufkin.
