The Shelby County Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting November 20, 2012 at 6:30 P.M. in the Shelby County Museum on Pecan Street. The speaker this month will be Greg Grant who will talk about “Dog Trot Houses” and some of the other interests he is involved with. Everyone is invited.

Glenda Jane Conway, 72, of Timpson, died October 29, 2012 in Wells. Interment was in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Shelby County. She was born March 13, 1940 in Timpson, Texas to Edgar Ellis and Ruby Jane Fleming Beasley. She was preceded in death by her parents. Charles E. Ramsey, 73, of Joaquin, died November 5, 2012 in Center. He was born December 17, 1938 in Fouke, Arkansas to Charles Edward Ramsey Sr. and Irene Dale Leatherwood Ramsey. Mr. Ramsey retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents.
