The Shelby County Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting November 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Shelby County Museum located on Pecan Street. Mr. Larry Hume will be in charge of the program this month.  Everyone is invited to attend.

CHARLES MORRIS PERKINS
Charles Morris Perkins, 91, of Timpson, Texas, died October 31, 2018, in Nacogdoches, Texas. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Timpson. He was born December 7, 1926, in Redland, Texas to John Lester and Irene Elizabeth Burnett Perkins. He served his country in the United States Marines. He was preceded in death by, Parents; Son, Phillip Julian Perkins; Seven Siblings. Survivors include, Wife, Peggy Julian Perkins; Sons, David Burnett Perkins & wife Michelle, James Calvin Perkins, William Hardin Perkins.

WILLIE B. ALLEN
Willie B. Allen, 92, of Center, Texas, died November 3, 2018 at Pine Grove Nursing Center in Center, Texas. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Shelby County. Survivors include, Son, Elvin Allen Jr (Edwena) of Ft. Worth, Texas; Daughter, Emelda Allen, Thomas (Michael) of Houston, Texas.

OCTAVIAN BURRELL
Octavian Burrell, 20, of San Augustine, Texas, died November 4, 2018 due to an automobile accident. Interment will be in Lane Town Cemetery. He was born November 28, 1997. Octavian graduated from Shelbyville High School in 2016 and played football for the Bethel University Wildcats, Tennessee from 2016-2018. Survivors include, Parents, Shelly Ann Haskins (Linnie) of San Augustine, Texas, J. R. Burrell of Lufkin, Texas; Brothers, Steve Burrell of San Augustine, Texas, Tyrone Burrell of San Augustine, Texas; Sister, Paula Sandle (John) of Houston, Texas, Melissa Burrell of Lufkin, Texas, Ashlye Taylor (JaDarian) of San Augustine, Texas.

WARDLOW WOODROW OLIVER
Wardlow Woodrow Oliver, 72, died November 4, 2018 at his home. He was known to his family and friends as “Joe” and was born to Austin Willis “A.W.” and Hazel Buckner Oliver on Friday, September 6, 1946 in Center, Shelby County, Texas. He was preceded in death by, Parents; Brothers, Thomas Harold and Johnny Wayne Oliver; Brother-in-law, Walter Edward Thomas. Survivors include, Wife, Linda Frances Thomas Oliver; Daughters, Stephanie LeAnne, wife of Blake Eaton, Kristian Deon, wife of Jonathan Stone; Son, Thomas Austin Oliver; Brother, Marvin Willis Oliver; Sister, Linda Elizabeth, wife of William “Bill” Noble; Sisters-in-law, Patricia Gill Thomas, Carla Anne, wife of Gregory Lee Walker.

Survivors include, Brother, Lorenzo Montgomery, Houston, Texas; Daughters, Brenda Hill Cole (Thomas), Atlanta, Georgia, Sharon Hill Cranford, Wichita, Kansas, Rhonda Hill Saldivar (Ernest) of Houston, Texas.

Clara Denby, 85, of Mt. Enterprise, Texas, formerly of Shelbyville, died November 6, 2018 in Mt. Enterprise. Interment will be in Latham Cemetery, Shelby County. She was born on November 27, 1932 in Zwolle, Louisiana to Lemmuel Gus West and Mary Molly Ezernack West. She was preceded in death by, Parents; Husband, Albert Denby, Sr.; All of her siblings; Son-in-law Robert Pederzani.
