Obituaries
RUBY KATHERINE DAVIS---Ruby Katherine Davis, 85, of Center died November 16, 2002 in Nacogdoches.  Burial was in White Rock Cemetery.  Mrs. Davis was born September 20, 1917.  Survivors include sons, Dexter Davis and Rex Davis, both of Center; sister Edith Rains of Lufkin.  Mangum Funeral Home.
LENA MAE BITTICK FOUNTAIN---Lena Mae Bittick Fountain, 84, died in Humble Texas November 16, 2002 Burial was in Old Salem Cemetery.   She was born February 28, 1916.  Mrs. Fountain is survived by one brother, Jesse Clovis (Pistol) Bittick of Center, a son Waymon Earl Fountain of Houston, Texas, daughters Betty Ruth Warren and Deborah Sue Luna of Houston. 
HAROLD THOMPSON, JR.---Harold Thompson, Jr, 46, of Tenaha, died November 17, 2002, in his residence.  Burial was in Joaquin Cemetery.  Born August 12, 1956, he was the son of Harold and Lillie Roe Thompson.  Survivors include his wife, Karren Thompson of Tenaha; son Mathew Thompson of Houston; daughters, Amy Beth Moodispaugh and Tammy Leigh Staunton, both of Houston and Shelby Thompson of Haskins; stepchildren, Alysha Blakeway of Nacogdoches and Robin Blakeway of Houston; mother, Lillie Thompson Townsend of Paxton; sisters, Elizabeth Ann McCoy of Pasadena and Nancy Kay Beverly of Clintwood, Virginia; brother, Robert Alan Thompson of Victoria.  Mangum Funeral Home.
NED C. DEAN---Ned Dean, 87, of Tenaha, died November 17, 2002 in Panola County.  Burial was in Woods Cemetery.  Born January 11, 1915, he was the son of Charlie and Ada Corley Dean.  Mr. Dean was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth Dean; sisters, Dva Sandlin, Blanche Adams, Sue Fitzgerald and Melba Geissen and brothers Ross, George, Charlie, Simeon and Joe Bailey Dean.  Survivors include his wife, Aleene Dean of Tenaha; stepson, Victor Crawford; stepdaughter, Sandra Ballard of Woods.  Hawthorn Funeral Home Carthage.
LOWELL N. RUSSELL---Lowell Russell, 93, of Aiken, died November 16, 2002 in Nacogdoches.  Burial was in White Rock Cemetery.  Born June 18, 1909, in Shelby County, he was the son of Russell and Mary Elizabeth Williams Russell.  Mr. Russell was preceded in death by his with Ima Russell.  Survivors include a sister Edith Warr of Center.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
