She was born April 8, 1947 in Shelby County to Vance Curtis and Bernice (Luman) Curtis Ford. She was preceded in death by, Father, Vance Curtis; Husband, Sterling Gandy, Jr. Survivors include, Mother, Bernice Ford of Houston; Daughters, Janet Davis of Longview, JoAnn Peterson & husband, Bill of Panama City, Florida; Sisters, Rose Shaffer of Houston, Elizabeth Ballard of Little Rock, Arkansas; Brother, Nathan Renfro & wife, Patricia of Houston.
