Winston S. Smith, 88, died December 9, 2007. Burial was
in Newbern
Cemetery, Shelby County. Born October 10,
1919, he was the son of Nina Stillwell Smith and
Samford Smith. Mr. Smith was a veteran of
WWII, having served in the Army Air Corps. He
was preceded in death by his Parents, Samford and
Nina Smith; Brothers, Robert K. Smith Jmes W. Smith,
Joe R. Smith and Frank Smith. Survivors
include Wife, Joyce Pell Smith of Center; Sons,
Jerry Smith of Woodstock, Georgia and Kenneth Smith
of Cypress, Texas; Daughter Betty Mooney of Center.

Martha Swanzy,
74, of Carthage, formerly of Center, died December
12, 2007. Burial was in
Shelbyville Cemetery, Shelby County. Born
August 10, 1933, she was the daughter of William
Robert and Mae Billingsley Swanzy. Ms. Swanzy
was preceded in death by Parents Bob and Mae Swanzy
and Brother, Robert Swanzy. Survivors include
Sister, Jane Golden of Carthage; Brother, David
