The Shelby County Historical Society will hold a meeting on January 16, 2012 at 6:30 p.m.  The speaker will be David Swanzy.  The topic will be "LA SALLE EXPEDITION INTO SHELBY COUNTY (APRIL, 1687.)  We hope to see everyone there.

Cecil Edward Denison, 56, of Timpson, Texas, died December 10, 2011 in Hope Arkansas. Burial was in Munnerlyn Chapel Cemetery, Mira, Louisiana. He was born January 01, 1955, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Billy Sanders Denison and Annie Belle Adcock Denison. Survivors include, Wife, Nancy Denison of Timpson; Mother, Annie Bell Denison of Mira, Louisiana; Brother, Billy Denison & wife, Theresa of Avinger, Texas; Sister, Nina Dickerson & husband, Greg of DeBerry, Texas; Daughter, Anna Austin & husband, Brad of Vivian, Louisiana; Stepson, Andy Stephens & wife, Jody of Timpson; Stepdaughter, Emily Jordan & husband, Bill of Greenwood, Arkansas.
