Jerry Van Rhodes, 83, of Tenaha, Texas, died December 12, 2016, in Center, Texas. Interment was in Old Home Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born June 11, 1933, on the family farm in Shelby County, Texas, to Ben Sam and Hettie Obera Hall Rhodes. He graduated from Timpson High School. He served his country in the United States Army.
