I am looking for anyone with information or connections to the Hicks family that lived in Center, Tx. and Tenaha, Tx. Edward S. Hicks lived in Tenaha in 1900 and was married to Sarah J. Oliver.  Charles W. Hicks and Annie E. Martin were my GGGrandparents, who lived in Center and are buried in the Methodist Church cemetery. BOWLIN, MACKIE EARL
   Mackie Earl Bowlin, 62, of Dallas died December 2, 2004.  Cremation was requested and remains place in Tennessee Cemetery at the foot of his mother's grave.  Born January 28, 2004, he was the son of Robert and Mary Frances Bowlin.  
CODY WAYNE ALFORD
   Cody Wayne Alford, 20, of Center died December 17, 2004 in Center.  Burial was in Latham Cemetery.  Born June 20, 1984, in Nacogdoches, he was the son of Noble and Toni Shofner Alford.  Mr. Alford was a residential carpenter.  He was preceded in death by his mother Toni Shofner Alford.  Survivors include father Nobel Alford; step-mother, Pam Alford, both of Center; sisters, Amber Alford and Khristina Snider, both of Center.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
DONNA JEAN RULE
   Donna Jean Rule, 74, of Huxley died December 18, 2004, in Center.  Cremation was requested.  Born February 7, 1930, in Kansas City, Missouri, she was the daughter of James H. and Helen Wilson Lee.  Mrs. Rule was a Homemaker.  She was preceded in death by her father, James H. Lee; brother, James T. Lee.  Survivors include mother Helen Lee of Kansas City, Missouri; husband, Billy rule of Huxley; daughters, Jane Rogers of Kansas City, Missouri, Mary Geurin of Overlyn Park, Kansas, Deborah Roe of Fort Dodge, Iowa and Patricia Kienast of Kansas City, Missouri; sons, David Lindsay of Mesa, Arizona, Mark Lindsay of Windsor, Missouri and Chris Lindsay of Zapata; step-daughters, Mary Shinn of Warsaw, Missouri and Dana Porter of Plate City, Missouri; brothers, Jerry Lee of Eagleville, Missouri and Carl Lee of Polo, Missouri and sister, Carole Aubrey of Kansas City, Missouri.  Mangum Funeral Home.
NETTIE MARIE LOVELL
   Nettie Marie Lovell, 74, of Center died December 12, 2004, in Nacogdoches.  Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park.  Born December 6, 1930, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of George and Effie Earlene Cox Chase.  Mrs. Lovell was a nurse at Memorial Clinic.  She was preceded in death by her husband J. B. Lovell; brothers, Frank Chase and Albert Ferris and sister Irene Ferris.  Survivors include daughters, Vickie Rogers, Lisa Henderson and Susan Tyler, all of Center.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
ERA SMITH
   Era Smith, 90, of Tenaha died December 22, 2004.  Burial was in Restland Cemetery.  Born June 7, 1914, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Robert and Ella Hughes Hailey.  Mrs. Smith was a Cook at Lake Country Inn.  She was married to Albert John Smith, and he preceded her in death.  Survivors include her son, John Paul Smith of Tenaha; daughter, Patsy Smith of Logansport, Louisiana.  Mangum Funeral Home.
ELIZABETH BATSON
   Elizabeth "Libby" Batson, 89, of Center died December 23, 2004, in Richardson.  Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park.  She was born April 16, 1915 in Goldsboro, North Carolina.  Mrs. Batson was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and married to L. D. Batson, and he preceded her in death.  Survivors include sons, Doug Batson of Oklahoma and Leon Batson of Richardson.  Mangum Funeral Home
IRENE F. POWERS
   Irene F. Powers, 95, of Groesbeck died December 21, 2004, in League City.  Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park.  Born September 5, 1909, in Nacogdoches County, she was the daughter of John Lafayette Pate and Ellen Wheeler Pate.  She was retired mental technician.  Mrs. Powers was married to Ben Powers, and he preceded her in death.  Survivors include grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Watson and Sons Funeral Home.
