The following is being place on the Myrtle Head Cemetery web site.  This history was found in the possession of Mary McSwain Danley along with the records of the church.  The article is displayed here exactly as written:

A brief histra of Mirtle Head Church.  The Church was organised the 9-2-1908 During a protracted meeting; held by A.L. Eaves Brother Croley Creach was chosen Moderater Brother A.L. Eaves Clerk: The No of Charter members 11 eleven: Twenty One others joined during the meeting; closing with 33 thirty Thre Inroles.   Then on September the 20 met again and caled Brother T,N, Crock: as Paster, and Brother J.L. Covington Clerk and named the Church Myrtle Head.  Brother Croley Creech Moderater at this Time.

SHAWN BRAYDEN HUDSPETH
   Shawn Hudspeth, Infant, died December 19, 2002 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery Born December 19, 2002, he was the son of Jerry and Misty Green Hudspeth of Timpson.  In addition to his parents he is survived by grandparents. Paul Hudspeth of Center, Sherri Blevins of Timpson and Mike and Barbara Green of Timpson.  Taylor Funeral Home.
JAMES A. CONNELL, JR.
   James Connell, Jr., 91, of Joaquin, died December 20, 2002 in Shreveport, Louisiana.  Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park.  Born August 15, 1911, in Joaquin, he was the son of D.A. and Lula Cockrell Connell.  Survivors include son Jim Connell; brothers, Dave Connell of Holden, Louisiana and Delvin Connell of Cut Off, Louisiana.  Mangum Funeral Home.
JAMES N. ANDREWS
   James N. "Butch"Andrews, 53, of Center, died December 23, 2002 in Center.  Burial was in North Jericho Cemetery. Born March 3, 1949 in Center, he was the son of Mervel Rodriques and Minnie Marie Andrews.  Mr. Andrews is survived by his wife Patricia Andrews of Center; son, Craig Andrews of Center; Daughters, Kim Andrews of Lufkin, Dianna Roden of Carthage and Denise Roden of Logansport, Louisiana; sisters, Helen Rodriques and Janice Lane, both of Nacogdoches and Linda Rodriques of Oxnard, California.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
HAROLD GUNTER
   Harold Gunter, 76, of Joaquin died December 24, 2002 in Joaquin.  Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park.  Born June 20, 1926, in Shelby County, he was the son of R.l. and Lula Blanche Priester Gunter.   Mr. Gunter is survived by his wife, Doris Gunter; sons, Harold Glenn Gunter and Randy Gene Gunter; daughter, Rhonda Sure Ricks; brothers, Cleve Birl, Lamar, Coswell, Roger and Perry Gunter; sisters, Edit Harris and Lurlene Oates.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
