OBITUARIES
GERALD D. NEWMAN
    Gerald D. Newman, 82, of Shelbyville, died December 21, 2007 in Center.  Burial was in McClelland Cemetery.  Born February 24, 1925, in Senith, Missouri. he was the son of John Franklin and Laura Dewberry Newman.  Mr. Newman was a Veteran of U. S. Army Air Corp in WWII.  He was preceded in death by Parents, John Franklin and Laura Newman; Brother Leamon Newman; Sister, Jewel Slayton.  Survivors include Wife, Gladys Chandler Newman; Sons, Gerald D. Newman, Jr. of Houston and Larry A. Newman of Houston; Brothers, Merle Ray Newman of Baltimore, Maryland and Billie Gene Newman of White Oak.  Mangum Funeral Home.
MICHAEL PERMENTER
    Michael Permenter, 55, of Nacogdoches, formerly of Shelbyville, died December 20, 2007 in Nacogdoches.  Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park.  Born August 6, 1962, in Beaumont, he was the son of Richard and Lela Delaney Permenter.  Mr. Permenter was preceded in death by Parents. Richa and Lela Permenter.  Survivors include Children, Brandie Seifert of Sugarland, Candie Permenter of Kerrville, Jeremy Permenter of Pasadena; Brother Rick Permenter of Magnolia.  Mangum Funeral Home.
ETHEL FAYE SANFORD
    Ethel Faye Sanford, 74, of Center died December 21, 2007, in Lufkin.  Burial was in Borders Cemetery, Shelby County.  Ms. Sanford was born January 19, 1933, in Shelby Couty.  Survived by Son, John Sanford.  Watson and Sons Funeral Home.
NEVADA MARIE EAVES
    Nevada Marie Eaves, 79, of Jacinto City died December 21, 2007 in Houston.  Burial was in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Joaquin.  Ms. Eaves was preceded in death by Husband, James Paul Eaves; Son, Gary Lynn Eaves; Brothers, Ellis Willis, Holman Willis and Herman Willis.  Watson and Sons Funeral Home.
JOYCE ANNETTE JOHNSON
    Joyce Annette Johnson, 41, died December 2, 2007.  Burial was in Bennett Chapel Cemetery.   Born March 29, 1966, she was the daughter of Ruth Mitchell and Elisha Johnson.  Ms. Johnson was preceded in death by her James Mitchell; Brother, Michael Cartwright; Sister, Sandra Johnson.  Survivors include, Mother, Ruth Mitchell of Houston; Daughters, Jennifer Hawkins of Shelbyville and Lemonica Wade of Mansville, Louisiana; Son Michael Johnson of Shelbyville; Brothers, Robert Wade and Everett Johnson both of Center. William Johnson of Jasper.  Community Funeral Home.
KATHERINE MCCOWIN REDMON
    Katherine McCowin Redmon, 88, died December 2, 2007.  Burial was in Bennett Chapel Cemetery.  Born February 18, 1919, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Austin and Melissie McCowin. Ms. Redmon was preceded in death by her husbands, Leo Bolton and Leo Redmon.  Survivors include Children, Waymon Bolton of AShelbyville, Ezra Bolton of Atlanta, Georgia, Laverne Daniels of Sacramento, California and Melton Bolton of Clayton, Oklahoma. 
PATRICIA GLENN EISENRICH
    Patricia Glenn Eisenrich, 70, of DeLeon, Texas died December 21, 2007, in Ft. Worth.  Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park.  Born December 1, 1937, in Angelina County, Texas, she was the daughter of Rober and Tresa Hamilton Glenn.  Ms. Eisenrich was an RN and retired from Cross Timber Clinic in De Leon.  She was preceded in death by Sons, Christian Eisenrich and Robert Eisenrich.  Survivors include Sons, Lloyd Eisenrich of Andrews, Texas and Jarrett Eisenrich of College Station, Texas; Daughter, Haven Davis of Vernon, Texas. 
GLADYS BAGWELL HORTON
   Gladys Bagwell Horton, 97, of Tenaha died December 26, 2007 in Nacogdoches.  Burial was in Ramah Cemetery.  Born November 10, 1910, Shelby County, she was the daughter of George Newton Bagwell, Sr. and Eliza Templin Bagwell.  Ms. Horton was a member of Delta Gamma Teacher's Association.  She was preceded in death by Husband, Sid Norton; Brothers, Raymond Bagwell, Jack Bagwell, George Bagwell, Jr.; Sister, Irene Bagwell. Survivors include Sons, Lance Horton of Tenaha, George Horton of Tenaha, Frank Horton of Bedford, Harrigan Bagwell of Carthage.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
