| AVIS LAFAY STOKER Avis LaFay Stoker, 68, of Altus Oklahoma died December 22, 2006 in Lawton, Oklahoma. Burial was in Spann Chapel Cemetery, Center. Born March 31, 1938, in San Augustine, Texas, she was the daughter of Otis Earl Amburn and Vassie Lee Spann Amburn. Ms. was a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was preceded in death by brother, Odis Earl Amburn, Jr. Survivors include children, Flint Calloway of Center, James Calloway of Altus, Oklahoma, Selena Crawford of Center, Delana Stoker of Altus, Oklahoma and Wyonka Crawford of Altus, Oklahoma. | CORA MCSWAIN Cora McSwain, 91, of Center died December 21, 2006 in Nacogdoches. Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park. Born April 21, 1915, in El Dorado, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Henry and Mineola Fletcher Spells. Mrs. McSwain was preceded in death by husband, Kermit McSwain and five Brothers. Survivors include son, Joe McSwain of Center, daughter, Jackie Fancher of Timpson; Sisters, Zettie Barnett of Center Norvelle Holt of Center and Leola Eaves of Center. Watson & Sons Funeral Home. |
| BUCK BUFORD NEWMAN Buck Buford Newman, 67, of Gary died December 21, 2006. Burial was in Tennessee Cemetery, Shelby County. Born August 3, 1939, in Texarkana, Texas, he was the son of Volney Newman and Eunice Swint Newman. Mr. Newman was preceded by six brothers and sisters. Survivors include wife, Linda Newman of Gary; Buck Newman, Jr. of Gary; daughters, Dedee O'Banion and Nikki Hill both of Nacogdoches; sisters, dorothy Tomczak of Gary and Johnnie Williams of Garrison.
