August 2, 1908
   This is to certify that during a protracted meeting held in Myrtle Head Community by Rev. A. J. Eves, a number of missionary Baptist living ????? said community decided to effect themselves into a church organization for the purpose of helping House of the Lord and ????? together, they called on Rev. Creech and Bro. A. L. Eaves to assist them in the great work, to which they responded gladly.
By motion and a second, Bro. Creech was elected moderator, Bro. A. A. Eaves Church Clerk, after which there was a motion and second that they agree same faith and order ?? ???? ??? related with each other for the purpose of keeping house for the Lord. Eleven responded and declared themselves a Church of Christ. A motion was to adopt the articles of faith laid down in Petitions Church manual.

   Myrtle Head Missionary Baptist met in Conference, Saturday before the 3rd Sunday. First order of business was to extend the privilege of the Church, Second order of Business to Seat visiting members to seat with us, third order of business was reading of Previous meeting, which read and adopted. General business by motion and second. Bro. Haggerty was appointed as committee to see the Cleark? Of Providence Church, to see if Sister Murphy was a letter in good standing. Conference left open until Sunday after preaching by Bro. Creech, by motion and second, by motion and second named the Church Myrtle Head. Next order of business was to call a Pastor Bro. Crocker was called unanimously by motion and second. J. L. Covington was elected Church Clerk. Next order was to elect a choice for Association, by a unanimous vote. The Shelby County Association was our choice. Next order of business was to elect messengers to the Association. Bros. W.J. Sigler, Lon Hughes, J. L. Horn was elected. No other business. Hatton as Messenger. Bro. Hatton appointing Bro. Willie Sigler. Bro. Sigler appointing Bro. J.E. Haggerty as Messenger to the fifth Sunday meeting. Sunday, after preaching by Bro. Crocker. 1st order of business was to extend the privilege of the church, whereby Sister Missionria Hatton jointed by letter. Moved and second that we rescind the act of receiving Sister Murphy in the Church. Moved and second that we grant Bro. F. Horn a Church Letter. No other business. Motion to adjourn carried.

Robert Hughes, Bro. John Holt, Bro. Ebb Stephens, Sister Tinnie Hughes, Sister Scarbrough responded by confession and baptism.  Sister Bettie Wall, sister Emma Byford, Bro. Richie, sister Richie, sister may Richie,by Letter.   Sister Lura Covington re-instated their calling for acknowledgments. Bro Ronzie Well had a confession of faults.  Fourth minutes read, adopted. Fifth of committee, Bro. J.D. Hatton, Bro. Richie and J.L. Covington was appointed to look after members walking disorderly.  Motion to adjourn.

   Myrtle Head Missionary Baptist met in Conference after preaching by Pastor.   1st order of business was toe seat visiting members.  2nd was to extend the privilege of the Church, to which Bro. R.C.? Hughes responded by confession and baptism. Third calling for acknowledgement Bro. Billie Horn made a confession of faults. Fifth by motion and second Bros. W. J. Wigler,  J.T.Ricky, L. M. Hatton was elected Messengers to the association, J. L. Covington, Lonnie Hatton as alternates.  By motion and second Bro. T. N. Crocker was called unanimously by the Church to serve them for the Associational year.  By motion and second the Church withdrew fellowship from Sister Dora Mills for departing faith.  The Church in Conference moved that Bro. W. J. Sigler be ordained as a Minister of the Gospel, also, Bro. C. J. Sigler be ordained as a deacon.  This is to be done at our next meeting.

Fourth calling for acknowledgements.  Fifth, by motion report of committee received and committee discharged.  The Church elected Bros. W. L. Wall and Rison Hughes and Lonnie Hatton as Messengers to the fifth Sunday meeting.  Associational letter read and adopted Conference left open till Sunday morn and the following business was transacted: Bro. Willie Sigler was ordained for the full work of the Ministry.  Br. C. J. Sigler was ordained abac??? by laying of the hands of the presbty.   Bros. T. N. Crocker, J.T. Peddy and W. H. Joplin by motion and second  were ascended the act of receiving. Bro. R. L. Hughes and wife on statement of Letter. Motion to adjourn.

   We, the Missionary Baptist of Myrtle Head met in Conference for business that may demand our attention after preaching by our Pastor.  The following business was transacted:  1st order of business was to invite visiting members to seat with us.   second order of business minutes of November 1911 read and adopted.  Third order of business was the election of a new Clerk.  Lonnie Hatton was elected Church Clerk. Fourth order of business was to appoint Messengers to the fifth Sunday meeting to be held at Tenaha.  John Holt, Robert Hughes and Lonnie Hatton were appointed.   General business - a public collection to the amount of Two Dollars $2.00 was taken to help bear the traveling expenses of our Pastor.  No other business.  Motion to adjourn.

   We, the Missionary Baptist of Myrtle Head met in Conference at the beginning of protracted services. On Saturday night Bro. Willie Sigler conducted the service.   Br. Spivy came Sunday, he and Bro. Willie conducted the service, during the meeting.   The following business was transacted during the meeting.  Third order of Business was the confession of faults, to which Bro. Renzie Web confessed to the Church that he was dissatisfied with his baptism and asked that he may be baptized again.   By motion and second he was received as a candidate for baptism.  Miss Zora Smith and Miss Bernice Holt were received as candidates for baptism.  After this member in full fellowship.  General business was the calling for a Pastor for the next associational year.  Friday August 16th was the day set apart for calling the Pastor.  Bro. Spivy Mod., Call for this business after a member suggestion.  A motion and second was the we go ahead with this business, the motion was voted on.   Returns were four for this motion and six against it.  Another motion and second was that we meet at the Church on the fourth Sunday in August for the purpose of calling our Pastor, this motion received a majority vote.  Services closed at the waters on Saturday, at twelve o'clock.

   We, the Missionary Baptist met in Conference.  this being a call session our Moderator was not present and Bro. Jeff Hatton was appointed (by the Church) Moderator protem.  General Business was taken up.  This was the calling of our Pastor.   First question was, how shall we vote for our Pastor; by ballot or by a risen Vote?   We agreed to take a risen vote.  Bro. J. M> Spivy was elected by a unanimous volt.  There being no other business, motion to adjourn.

   We, the Missionary Baptist of Myrtle Head met in Conference for business that may demand our attention.  1st order of business was to invite visiting members to seats with us.  2nd order of Business was the reading of two minutes one, August 11, the other August 25. They stand adopted.  The Order of Business was the call for confession of faults, to this several of our brethren responded, and confessed to the Church that we are not standing firm to what we believe a true Christian should.   General business, Messengers to the fifth Sunday meeting were selected, John Holt, Amos Hughes, and Fate Horn were selected.  messengers to the Association were selected; L. M. Hatton, Lonnie Hatton and Willie Sigler were selected. Alternate were selected; Rison Hughes, Robert Hughes and Walter Eves were selected as alternates.   The Church asked her Messengers to vote against a standing place for the association.  No other business, adjourn.

   We, the Missionary Baptist of Myrtle Head met in Conference for business that may demand our attention.  1st order of business was to invit visiting members to seats with us.  2nd order of business was the opening of the doors of the Church, to this no one responded.  3rd order of business call for minute of last meeting, it was read and adopted.  Miscellaneous business was the paying of our Pastor in both money and farm produce.  The exact amount can't be stated until delivered.  No other business, motion to adjourn carried.

M. Hatton was appointed by the Church to go.  Bro. Spivy reported, corn received since last meeting.  Bro. A. Holt, 5 bin Bro. C. J. ???8 bin. No other business motion to adjourn carried.

Second order of business omitted. Third order reading of minutes.  Fourth order omitted.  Fifth order a motion to elect a Clerk, motion prevailed.  Bro. John Holt was elected upon request a motion was made to grant to Bros. Jeff Hatton, Lonnie Hatton Lukey Hatton, sisters Josie Hatton and J?inny Hatton, letters of dismission, motion prevailed.  There being no further business a motion to adjourn, motion prevailed. Collections for Pastor $2.60.

Hall and Brother Wade Eaves to conduct the meeting.  They called for members and there were thirteen came back together the first night and the end of the meeting there were 37 by Letter and for Baptism of which are in rolled at the back of the book. Called Brother eaves for our Pastor for the year 1920.

   We, the Missionary Baptist Church of Christ met in Conference at Myrtle Head.  1st. order of business to invite visiting to seat with us. 2nd to extent the privilege of the Church, none accepted.  3nd minutes of last meeting read and adopted.  4th called for confession of faults, none. 5th General business,  by his own request Bro. Rison Hughes was granted a Letter of dismission.   Conference Closed.

   We, the Missionary Baptist Church of Christ met in Conference at Myrtle Head.  1st.  The door of church was opened for reception of members, none.   General business, it was unaminous that we would celebrate the Lords Supper at next meeting.  Brother H. G. paid pastor $1.00.

   We, the Missionary Baptist Church of Christ met in Conference at Myrtle Head.  Door of Chruch opened for receiption of members.  Received none.   2nd minutes of last meeting read and adopted.   3rd  A collecetion was taken for the Orphans home amountin to 75 cents.  It was decided to postpone the celebration of the Lords Supper till the next regular meeting.  this being no new business to come before the Church Conference adjourned in order. Paid pastor $1.35

   We, the Missionary Baptist Church of Christ met in Conference at Myrtle Head.   1st visiting brethrfen invited to seat with us.  2nd Doors of the Church opened for the reception members.  received none.  3rd. Minutes of last meeting read and adopted.  4th General business, A motion prevailed inviting Bro. Wade Eves to assist our Pastor in a meeting during the summer, and the clerk was instructed to write Bro. Eves in regard to same.  There being no further business conference adjourned in order.

   After divine services by the Pastor the Missionary Baptist Church worship at Myrtle Head met in regular Conference.  1st visiting brethren invited to seats with us.  2nd, doors opened for the reception of members, none. 3rd, minutes of last meeting read and approved. New business, after a letter was read by the clerk from Bro. Screws asking the Church to accept his resignation as Pastor, the Church by a vote accepted his resignation.  A call was made for volunteers to attend the 5th Sunday meeting.  Lamar Carmicahel, J.R. Grunnbles and Sister Eula Carmichael volunteered.   There being no further business conference adjourned.

   After divine serves by the Pastor the Missionary Baptist Church worship at Myrtle Head met in regular Conference.  1st visiting brehtren invited to seats with us.  2nd, doors opened for the reception of members, none. 3rd, minutes of last meeting read and approved.  New business, a motion to rescend the action of the Church in accepting the resignation of Bro. Screws as Pastor, motion carried.  Next a motion prevailed to give the Pastor authority to select his helper in the meeting.   Conference closed.

   After divine services by the Pastor the Missionary Baptist Church worship at Myrtle Head met in regular Conference.  1st visiting brehtren invited to seats with us.  2nd, doors opened for the reception of members, none. 3rd, minutes of last meeting read and approved.  Bro. J.B. Andrews present and called for a dismission for himself, wife L.M. Andrews and daughters, Ida and Dora, which was granted.  The Church began a series of meeting which lasted a week, conducted by the Pastor assisted by Bro. E.B. Anderson.  The Church was revival and us had a good meeting a????? no members were.  The calling a Pastor was postponed till the September meeting.   Bro. Anderson was paid $11.37 for his service.  Conference adjourned.

Grunnbles were granted Letters of dismission and also thier son Hugh Grumbles.  By a vote Sister Nina Horn was elected Church Clerk.  Conference closed.

   After divine service by the Pastor, Saturday night before the first Sunday in May, We the Missionary Baptist Church of Christ Worshiping at Myrtle Head met in Conference.  Visiting brothers were invited to seat with us.  Privilege of the Church for the receiption of members extended.  Call for confession of faults, none.   General Business,  Bros' Preston Oliver, lamar Carmichael and John Holt were eleced by motion and second as Deacons.  A collection for lamp fixture by motion and second Bro. Maison of Alto was invited to help hold our meeting date set for first Sunday in August, 1931.  Ollie Stoker elected Church Clerk, Protend in the abscence of Sister Nina Horn.  There being no other business conference closed.

   After divine service by the Pastor, Saturday night before the first Sunday in August, we the Missionary Baptist Church of Christ Worshiping at Myrtle Head pledged ourselves to aid in the protracted meeting by our corporation in prayer and our presence to Bro. Maison and Bro. Screws.  The clerk was present with minute, but it was the beginning of divine services the minute was omitted until our next regular meeting, September 5, 1931 Business attended during this meeting was the ordination of Bros. John Holt, Preston Oliver and Lamar Carmichael as Deacon.  A collection of $1.27 for Church book, song books and lamp fixture.  Privilege of Church for the reception of members extended .  The harvest being great we received 15 members as follows:   Bro. John Holt, Sidney Gee, Nuclan? Hughes, Rogers Holt, W.W. McDonald, Fate Bailey, Douglas Screws, sisters, Edith Seglar, Mrs. Vea McDonald, Bernice Screws.   After Baptism are in full pledge fellowship with us.  bro. Henry K. Thomas and Wife, Alice Thomas, Spivey Haley were received on fourth coming of Letter after which they will be full pledge members.  Sister Nora Byford by motion & Second united by Letter in full fellowship.  Sister Eula Bailey united by statement into full fellowship.  Protracted meeting closing at waters Sunday 8, 1931.  Bro. Maison received about $18.00  Minutes read and approved August 8, 1931.

   We the Missionary Baptist Church of Christ worshiping at Myrtle Head do here by send hearty greeting of cheer to this, a close of another associational year by our brethren, whom we esteem worthy to represent and transact any business that might demand their attention in our behalf.  Bro. R.P. Oliver, John Holt, Lamar Carmichael.   As alternates, Bro. W.W. McDonald and wife Sister Vera Sidney Gee.  to keep further the cause of our Lord and Master we do here by send our contribution to the following:  State of Foreign Mission $2.20.  Orphan Home $1.00.  Incidental fees $9.37.  To our Pastor and helper we have contributed the sum of $69.12.   Members added into the Church: Male-7 by baptism---Female-3 by baptism---Male- 2 by Letter ---  Female-3 by Letter.  May Gods riches blessings be with you is our prayer, that as God's children may have a bigger and greater Associational year in 1932.   Bro. Rison Hughes ordained Minister.
