AVIS LOUISE GREER
Avis Louise “Tootsie” Greer, 92, died December 30, 2022 in Nacogdoches, Texas.  Interment was in Strong Cemetery, Shelby County.   She was born on January 30, 1930, to Jim Fred Campbell and Callie Furlow Campbell.  She was a graduate of Shelbyville High School.  She was preceded in death by, Husband, O.L. “Billy” Greer; Son, Richard Greer; Parents; and several brothers and sisters.  Survivors include, Son, Billy Earl Greer; Siblings, Crit Campbell, Kay Ballard & husband Stan; Daughters, Judy Greer, LaRee Greer.

JOHN WAYMON COTTON
John Waymon Cotton, 52, died December 26, 2022 in West Texas.  Interment was in Pine Grove Cemetery, Nacogdoches, Texas.  He was born July 26, 1970, in Center, Shelby, County, Texas to the late Francis Louise Garner Cotton and Rev. R. L. Cotton. Survivors include, Wife, Willie Mae “LeeLee” Cotton of Houston; Sons, Leon, of Louisiana, John “Tyvae’ of Houston; Daughters, Jonmonique of Houston, Elaisha Jonea of Louisiana; Loving Daddy, Rev. R. L. Cotton of Nacogdoches; Siblings, Sister, Joyce (John) Taylor of Jasper, Brother, Bishop Bennie Lee (Peggy) Oliphant of Inkster, Michigan, Sister, Lois (James) Davis of Houston, Sister, Evangelist Marilyn Cotton of Nacogdoches, Brother, Reggie Lamar Cotton (Deborah) of Nacogdoches, Brother, Claude (Tonnia) of Houston, Brother, Noel D. Cotton of Nacogdoches.
Services are under the direction of Sid Roberts Funeral Home, 3535 S.E. Stallings Dr. Nacogdoches, Texas.

 

 

ETHEL MAE SCOTT MORELAND
Ethel Mae Scott Moreland, 89, of Timpson, Texas, died December 30, 2022, in Carthage, Texas.  Interment was in Corinth Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born on October 27, 1933, in Rayville, Louisiana, to E. A. and Rosa (Hagood) Scott.  She was preceded in death by, Husband, Jimmie Burk Moreland; Parents; Sister, Belle Brobst; Brother, Buddy Scott.  Survivors include, Children, Judy Ann Marlow of Burleson, Texas, Larry Burk Moreland & wife Donna of Timpson, Linda Moreland of Azle, Texas.

ROBERT CLAYTON THOMPSON
Robert Clayton Thompson, 54, of Center, Texas, died January 3, 2023, in Nacogdoches, Texas.  Interment was in McClelland Cemetery, Shelby County.  He was born November 30, 1968, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to W.C. Thompson and Susan Driver Johnson.  Survivors include, Wife, Donna; Father, W. C.
