A D Whittington, 64, of Timpson, Texas, died January 18, 2018 in Timpson, Texas. Interment was in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born March 20, 1953 to Robert and Hazel Miller Whittington. He was born on May 7, 1930 in Dunnigan to Grover Cleveland Risinger and Roxy Cox Risinger. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and earned the rank of Staff Sergeant. JAMES H. NEEL, SR.
James H. “Jim” Neel, Sr., 86, died January 17, 2018 in his Houston home. Interment will be in Palestine City Cemetery. Jim leaves behind his wife of 60 years, Marion Sowell Neel, a graduate from Palestine High 1953. Jim was a 1949 graduate of Timpson High School. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force as a Sergeant during the Korean War and was a member of the Strategic Air Command (SAC) Select Crew from 1950-54 flying 210 missions.
