OBITUARIES

PAUL E. BAILEY
Paul E. Bailey, 86, died January 17, 2024.  Interment was in Blair Cemetery, Shelby County.  He was born August 31, 1937, in Shelby County Texas to parents LaClair and Evelyn Bailey. He graduated from Timpson High School in 1955.  He was preceded in death by, Parents; Sister, Ann Flowers, Brother, Ray Bailey.  Survivors include, Wife, Frances; Children, Son, David (Deborah) Bailey of Highland Village, Daughter, Vickie (Chris) Fontaine of Whitehouse. 

MARY ANN SKINNER
Mary Ann Skinner, 81, of Joaquin, Texas, died December 30, 2023, in Tomball, Texas.  Interment will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center, Texas.  She was born October 3, 1942, in Panola County, Texas.  She graduated from Joaquin High School. She was preceded in death by, Father, George Davis, Jr.; Mother, James Vernie Lawhorn Davis; Husband, William Edward “Bill” Skinner, Sr.;  Brothers, Billy, Johnny, and Wayne Davis; Sister, Vera Roberts;  Survivors include, Son, Robert G. Skinner of Magnolia; Son, William Edward Skinner, Jr., & wife, Kim of Wasilla, Alaska.

WANDELL WOMACK
Wandell Womack, 94, died January 18, 2024.  Interment was in Restland Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born on January 27, 1929 to Callie and Drew Pierce Conner of Zavalla, Texas.  She was preceded in death by, Husband, Joe Dan Womack; Daughters, Becky Womack King, Lou Jane Womack, Terrie Womack; Parents; Siblings, Gladys Nell Mathews, Maude Yvonne Rowe, Kenneth Conner, Bert Conner. Survivors include, Son & Wife, Jerry and Dina Womack; Son-in-law, Joe King.

ONA DELORES PRITCHET
Ona Delores Pritchet, 79, died January 18, 2024.  Interment was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center, Texas.  She was born June 21, 1944, in Dallas, Texas, to Rheinhardt Herman Engelke and Ona Mary Leona Burnette.  She was preceded in death by, Parents.  Survivors include, Husband, Homer; Four children, Felton Gilmore and his wife MaryAnn, Cathy Dickerson and her husband Bob, Charlotte Halvorson and her husband Scott, Sheri Miller and her husband Matthew.

MARILYN DEE HAYWOOD WELCH GRIFFIN
Marilyn Dee Haywood Welch Griffin, 89, of the Stockman Community of Shelby County, died January 19, 2024.  Interment was in Blair Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born November 5, 1934, to Jim and Stella Haywood.  She was preceded in death by, Parents; Siblings, Claudine Moore, Ardell Bardwell, Hester Blackwell, James Haywood; Son, Bobby Welch.  Survivors include, Daughters, Delois Blackwell of Nacogdoches, Rebecca and Bobby Strong of Carthage; Sons, Larry and Francine Welch of Springs, Colorado, Jimmy and Marilyn Welch of Stockman.

LEOLA ROSS FRAZIER NORTON

Leola Ross Frazier Norton, 89, died January 12, 2024 in Franklin, Tennessee.  Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Timpson, Texas.  She was born in Panola County to William Horace Ross and Clifford Beatrice Emmons-Ross on February 4, 1935. She was preceded in death by, Husbands, James Marion Frazier and Russel Wayne Norton; Brothers, Melvin Ross, James Ross; Sister, Louise Jackson.  Survivors include, Son, J. T. Frazier and wife Tera.

BOBBIE LAMERLE RICHARDS GARY
Bobbie Lamerle Richards Gary, 92, of Center, Shelby County, died January 22, 2024. Interment will be in Mount Bethel Cemetery, Panola County. She was born September 7, 1931, to Robert “Bob” and Sallie Bishop Richards. She graduated from Timpson High at sixteen years of age.  She was preceded in death by, Husband, Glyn W. Gary; Parents; Sisters, Lillie Mae Pate and husband Verbon, Sr., Laura Anna Bell Deason and husband Cecil, Era Wren Ramsey Adams and husbands James P. Ramsey and Robert Adams.  Survivors include, Nieces and nephews, Jerry Pate, and wife, Debra of Center, Virginia Goodrum of Jacksonville, Fay Socia of Nacogdoches, Verbon Pate and wife, Elizabeth of Center.
