OBITUARIES

EVERT E. CRAWFORD
Evert E Crawford, 80, died February 26, 2022 in Pearland, Texas.  He was born in Jacksonville, Texas on December 21st, 1941, to parents S E McWilliams Crawford and Evert Terry Crawford.  He grew up in Timpson, Texas with his parents and older sister Ada Mac Crawford.  He graduated from Timpson High School in 1959.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  Survivors include, Sister, Ada Mac Crawford Gorton; Sons, Stephen Evert Crawford, Michael Ray Crawford; Daughter, Mary Catherine Crawford Shipley.

TOMMY LYNN WHEELER

Tommy Lynn Wheeler, Jr., 65, of Nacogdoches, died March 4, 2022.  He graduated from Timpson High School Class of ’75.  Tommy worked at Amos Foods in Timpson, then worked as the projectionist at the family Fox Theatre throughout High School.  He was preceded in death by, Father, Tommy Lynn Wheeler; Mother, Martha Delores Brown.  Survivors include, Wife, Hien Tran Wheeler; Brother, Kenneth Lynn Wheeler, & wife Beth; Stepson, Daniel Knitter; Brother-in-Law, George Meisenheimer & wife Dao.

RICKY FORD
Ricky Ford, 62, of Tenaha, Texas, died March 2, 2022. He was born on November 3, 1959, in Rogers, Arkansas, to Buster Ford and Bobbie Hicks.  He was preceded in death by, Father, Buster Ford; Step-mother, Violet Ford; Mother, Bobbie Hicks; Sister-in-law, Kay Ford; Mother-in-law, Peggy Broadway.  Survivors include, Wife, Teresa Broadway Ford; Sons, Jordan Ford & wife, Lainey, Bradley Ford & wife, Abigail, Robert Christopher Ford & wife, Lindsay; Daughter, Kristi Rosas & husband, Isaac; Brothers, Jackie Ford & wife, Terry, Timothy Harold Ford & wife, Betty, Phillip Ford & wife, Lori.

JUANA BOWLIN McCANN
Juana Bowlin McCann, 88, of Stonewall, Louisiana, died March 5, 2022, in Shreveport, Louisiana.  Interment was in Ramah Cemetery, Shelby County. She was born March 2, 1934, to Elsie Godwin and Benjamin Morris Bowlin Sr.  She was preceded in death by, Husband, James R. McCann; Parents; Brothers, B.M. Bowlin Jr., Warren Mac Bowlin, Ted Wayne Bowlin. Survivors include, Daughters, Kathy & husband Fred Ebey of Stonewall, Louisiana, Paula & husband Rex Pitman of Shreveport, Louisiana, Elaine McCann of Stonewall, Louisiana; Sisters, Mary Griffith of Turkey Creek, Louisiana, Yvonne Stearns of Houston; Sister-in-law, Frances Bowlin of Tenaha.

REBIA FAY JENNINGS SPRATLING
Rebia Fay Jennings Spratling, 78, of Center, Texas, died March 2, 2022, at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital.  Interment was in Gates Chapel Cemetery, Shelby County.   She was born to the late Ira and Beatrice Gardner Jennings in Center, Texas on May 29, 1943.  She was a 1961 graduate of C.H. Daniels High School in Center, Texas. Survivors include, Daughter, Shirlene Spratling Mitchell; Son, Edward Glenn Spratling (Nikole).

GILBERT SCOTT PORTER
Gilbert Scott Porter, 65, died March 3, 2022 after a seven year battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. He was 65 years old. He was born in El Dorado, Arkansas on October 11, 1956 to Ruth Ann and Watson Porter.  He was preceded in death by, Parents; Father-in-law, William G.
