                The Shelby County Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting April 17, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in the Shelby County Museum on Pecan Street. Our guest speaker this month will be Terri Lacher, a local researcher.  She will be speaking to us about the World War II German Prison Camp in Center.  Everyone is invited to attend.

Eula Annice Richardson Hughes, 86, of Nacogdoches, Texas, died April 5, 2018 in Nacogdoches, Texas. Interment was in Cedar Yard Cemetery, Tenaha, Texas. She was born September 26, 1931 in Center, Texas, to Donley S. and Ruby Waits Richardson. She was preceded in death by, Parents; Husband, Howard Lynn Hughes; Brother, Harold Richardson. Survivors include, Sons, Michael Hughes & wife, Marie of Nacogdoches, Texas, Thomas Hughes & wife, Angela of Garrison, Texas; Daughter, Deborah Moore & husband, David of Palestine, Texas.
