Dorothy Malone Jones, 83, died April 05, 2021.  Interment will be in McWilliams Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born in Center, Texas to Asia and Katherine K. Malone.  She was preceded in death by, Parents; Sisters, Georgia, Oma, Pearl, Lou Ella; Brother, Jessie.  Survivors include, Daughter, Miss Equallia Malone of Longview; Sisters, Deloris Jordan, Atlanta, Georgia, Dorothy Nell Johnson, Galveston; Brother, Harold Asia Malone, Sr, Nacogdoches, Texas.

TOMMY TINNER
Tommy Tinner, 50, died April 5, 2021. He was born September 6, 1970, to Leavelt and Johnnie Lou Tinner.  He was preceded in death by, Mother, Johnnie Lou Tinner; Father, Leavelt Tinner; Sisters, Lavada Tinner, Dorthy Gaines, Martha Tinner, Maggie Tinner; Brothers, Willie Tinner, Curtis Bryant, James Tinner.  Survivors include, Daughter, Destiny Tinner of Center; Sisters, Carolyn Tinner of Center, Brenda Dones of Center, Tammy Lane (Anthony) of Center, Gloria Tinner of Arizona, Barbara Tinner and Norma Green of Fort Worth, Texas; Brothers, Leavelt Tinner, Jr. of California, Sammy Bryant of Huntsville, Texas, Clifford Jones of Logansport, Louisiana, Ronnie Tinner of Fort Worth, Texas.

 NEVIS EZELLE HAGLER
Nevis “Nik” Ezelle Hagler, 77, of Pearland, Texas, died April 06, 2021.  He was born in Center, Texas on May 31, 1943 to Nevis and Martha Francis Hagler.  He graduated from Center High School in 1961.  He worked as a professor at several colleges before fulfilling his dream of becoming a professional actor, acting in a variety of films and television productions, as well as stage productions through the years.  He was preceded on death by, Parents; Daughter, Lisa McGee; Brother, Larry Hagler.  Survivors include, Wife, Susan Hagler; Daughter, Kim Lovelace & husband Chris.

EDWENA WILLIAMS HIGGINBOTHAM
Edwena (Ed) Williams Higginbotham, 80, of Warner Robins Georgia, died April 8, 2021 in Georgia.  Interment was in White Rock Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born on August 1, 1940 in Center, Texas to Clark Paul Williams Sr. and Emma Irene Fancher Williams.  She was preceded in death by, Parents; Husband, Van Buren Higginbotham; Brother, Thomas Williams; Sister, Carolyn Caldwell; Brother-in- law, J. C. McSwain; Brother-in- law, Jack Berg; Brother-in- law, Dallas Caldwell; Sister-in- law, Norie Williams.  Survivors include, Son, Paul Higginbotham (Diana); Sisters, Shirley Faye Berg from Center, Venorah McSwain from Center; Brother, Clark Paul Williams Jr. & wife, Tina from Center.

POLLYANNE BARRON SMITH
Pollyanne Barron Smith, 78, died March 9th, 2021, after a 7 month long battle with cancer.  There will be a graveside service at Oaklawn Cemetery in Center, Texas at 2:00 p.m., May 15, 2021. She was born on February 24, 1943, to Mae and Jack Barron. She grew up in Center, Texas, graduating from Center High School in 1960. She was preceded in death by, Parents; Brother, Jack Walling Barron. Survivors include, Husband, Hubern Larry Smith of Center, Texas; Daughter, Lois Anne Bessinger & husband Glenn Bessinger of Allen, Texas; Son, John Richard Lane of Corpus Christi, Texas.

JIMMY LEWIS BROCK

Tammy Ann Wedgeworth, 61, of Shelbyville, died  Friday, April 9, 2021, in Lufkin.  Interment was in Rather Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born July 11, 1959, in Crowley, Louisiana, to Robert Elmer Wedgeworth and Kathryn Yvonne Goodwyn Wedgeworth.  She was preceded in death by, Husband, Mike Calhoun; Father, Robert E. Wedgeworth.  Survivors include, Son, Roy Dean Evans Jr. of Houston; Mother, Yvonne Wedgeworth of Center; Sister, Robbie Cartwright of Fulshear.

JEAN NORTON HORNE
Jean Norton Horne, 96, of Shelby County, Texas, died April 6, 2021, at her residence.  Interment was in McRae Cemetery, San Augustine County.  She was born January 25, 1925, in Sam Fordyce, Texas, (Hidalgo County) to Ethelbert Harwell Norton and Nancy Jane Deckard Norton.  She was preceded in death by, Parents; Husband, Bill Horne; Sister, Dorothy Sager; Brother, Edgar Norton.  Survivors include, Daughters, Judy Blacklock & husband Douglas of Missouri City, Texas, Linda High & husband E.J. of Dumfries, Virginia.

ANITA LOVETT ALFORD
Anita Lovett Alford, 52, of Center, died April 11, 2021, in Nacogdoches, Texas.  Interment was in Good Hope Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born April 20, 1968, in Center, to Jerry Lovett and Elizabeth Ann Miller Lovett.  She was preceded in death by, Parents; Sister, Tracy Ann Lovett.  Survivors include, Husband, Randy Alford of Center; Son, Richard Alford of Center; Daughter, Rachel Alford of Center; Brother, Will Lovett of Center; Sister, Lydia Jan Harris of Alaska; Special daughter, Morgan Glover of Shelbyville.

WILLIE EUGENE ALLEN
Willie Eugene Allen, 95, died April 11, 2021, at his home in Stonewall, Louisiana.  He was born in Fulton, AK, August 22, 1925. He was preceded in death by.  Mother, Susie A. Stevens Allen; Sister, Leah Allen Osburn.  He joined the Marine Corps in 1943 and carried a Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR) during the Pacific Campaign, specifically on Guam.  Gene returned to Shreveport where he married the love of his life Syble J. Belote and they had 72 glorious years together. They had three sons, Kerry, Barry and Mark, 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.  Previously he and Syble had lived in Joaquin, Texas for 20 years and were active members of the Methodist church.
A celebration of Life will be held at 11AM on April 24, 2021 at the Methodist church in Joaquin, Texas.

MICHAEL D. HUBBARD
Michael D. Hubbard, 58, of Center, died April 13, 2021.  Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Center, Texas.  He was born March 08,1963 to David Lee Hubbard and Wilma Newton Hubbard.  He is a 1981 Center High School graduate.  Survivors include, Wife, Lutonya Michelle Hubbard; Children, Sylvia Hubbard (Aurthur) of Center, Tiara Hubbard of Center; Siblings, Saundra Harris of Center, Terry Harris (Benita) of Killeen, Debbie Lathan (Michael) of Bossier City, Louisiana, Shanna Hubbard of Center, Jarvis Hubbard of Center, Devonda Hubbard (Danyell) of Tyler, David Curtis of Center, Michael Hubbard (Michelle) of Center, Sylvia Mosby (Victor) of Center, Jimmy Hubbard (Michelle) of Center; Brothers-in-law, Melvin Jackson (Felicia) of Lufkin, Tony Garrett of Lufkin, Demetris Mosley of Texas; Sisters-in-law, Nette Garrett of Carthage, Roslyn Land (Tommy) of Shelbyville.
