MARCUS JERMAINE EVANS
Marcus Jermaine Evans, 44, of Center, died April 16, 2022, at Golden Plains Community Hospital in Borger, Texas. He was the son of Alice Evans Johnson and Clyde E. Johnson and was born May 21, 1977 in Nacogdoches, Texas.  He  graduated from Center High School in 1995.  Survivors include, Children, Daughter, Kalea Evans of Center, Son, Sydarius Evans of Shelbyville; Mother, Alice Evans Johnson of Center; Father, Clyde E. Johnson (Margie) of Center; Sisters, LaTressa D. Evans of Center, Isurika Johnson-Pegues of California; Brother, Cherry T. Evans of Plano.

ETHEL M. JENKINS
Ethel M. Jenkins, 64, of Center, died April 13, 2022 at U.T. Health Tyler.  Interment was in St. John’s Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born July 11, 1957 in Houston, Texas to Mary Lister and the late Roscoe Moody. She graduated from Center High in 1976.  She was preceded in death by, Father, Roscoe Moody; Stepfather, Tommy Lister; Stepsister, Brenda Lister; Brothers, Willie L. BOBBY HAROLD HATAWAY
Bobby Harold Hataway, 80, died April 16, 2022.  Interment was in DFW National Cemetery.  He was born June 23, 1941 to Amos Martin Hataway and Odessa Myers Hataway in Center, Texas.  He graduated from Center High School in 1959.  He served his country in the U. S. Air Force.  He was preceded in death by, Wife, Carol; Son, Mark; Parents.  Survivors include, Daughter, Cathy Goodman & husband, John, Paradise, Texas; Son, Rob Hataway & wife, Julie, Flower Mound, Texas; Sister, Janice Hataway, Frisco, Texas; Brother Donald Hataway, Tenaha, Texas.

KENNETH EARL CUNNINGHAM
Kenneth Earl Cunningham, 86, of Joaquin, Texas, died April 20, 2022 in Shreveport, Louisiana.  He was born November 4, 1935, to John Thomas "Tom" Cunningham, Sr. and Ruby Lee Hensley Cunningham.   He was preceded in death by, Wife, Ruth Laverne Lewis Cunningham; Parents; Son, Kenneth C. Cunningham; Brother, John Thomas Cunningham, Jr.; Son-in-law, Perry Pugh.  Survivors include, Sons, Phil Cunningham & wife, Marsha, David Cunningham & wife, Kay; Daughters, Sandy Mahan & husband, Johnny, Donna Pugh.

WILLIE CHARLES EBERENZ
Willie Charles Eberenz, 89, of Center, Texas, died April 22, 2022, in Center, Texas.  Interment was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center, Texas.  He was born on December 8, 1932, in Dallas, Texas, to Will Eberenz and Marie Winklemann Eberenz.  He served his country in the United States Army.  He was preceded in death by, Parents; Sister, Mary Ruston.  Survivors include, Wife, Marcia; Sons, Charles Eberenz & wife, Ronda, Bradley Eberenz; Sister, Annie Robertson.

AUBREY J. DRY, SR.
Aubrey J. Dry, Sr., of Jasper, Texas, died April 24, 2022. Interment was in Holly Grove Cemetery, Holly Grove, Texas.  He was born on the farm in Shelbyville, Texas in 1940.  He worked hard on the farm and in school and graduated as an honor student from Shelbyville High School in 1958. MARTHA LOUISE CADDELL
Martha Louise Caddell, 89, of Tyler, Texas, died April 23, 2022 in Tyler, Texas at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Hospital.  Interment was in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, Tyler, Texas.  She was born in Lindale, Texas on October 16, 1932 to the late Rev. Solomon McGee and Birdie Brown McGee. Martha began her teaching career in Center, Texas in 1956 and subsequently retired there in 2004. Initially, she taught school at C H Daniels High School, but after integration she was transferred to Center Intermediate School. She was a fifth and sixth grade Music teacher. Her tenure as an Educator spanned 48 years. Martha’s career was generational, meaning that she had often taught the parents of a lot of her younger students.  She was preceded in death by, Parents, Rev. Solomon and Birdie McGee; Son, James D. Caddell; Sisters, Artiree Anderson, Doretha Spencer, Eula Johnson, Ernestine Johnson, Birdie Love, Carrie Johnson, Theta Thornton; Brothers, Lawrence McGee, Solomon McGee, Jr, and Lindsey James McGee.  Survivors include, Husband, James. C. Caddell, Tyler.

VICTORIA LEE MYERS MASSEY
Victoria Lee Myers Massey, 67, of Nacogdoches, Texas, died April 25, 2022.  She was born in Des Moines, Iowa on May 31, 1954. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Betty Myers.  Survivors include, Husband, Charles; Daughters and their spouses, Andrea and Keith Webb of Joaquin, Texas, Kim and Dr. Matthew Parker of Nacogdoches, Texas; Sisters and brothers and their spouses, Scott and Amy Myers, Kathleen Anglin, Christine and David Thomas, Sandra and Scott Morrow, Mark and Milli Myers, Jon and Shelly Myers.

Thomas William “Bro. Jack” Forbis, 88, of Timpson, died April 21, 2022, in Nacogdoches. Interment was in Old Center Cemetery, Panola County.  He was born November 5, 1933, in Center, to W. L. Forbis and Lula Strong Forbis. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.  He was preceded in death by, Sons, Tommy Gene Forbis, William Richard Forbis; Parents; Brother, Raymond Forbis.  Survivors include, Wife, Dorothy Emmons Forbis of Timpson; Daughter, Virginia & husband Jeff Meadows of San Leon.

BRENDA P. GRANT
Brenda P. Grant, 78, of Joaquin, died April 27, 2022, in Nacogdoches.  Interment was in Jackson Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born August 7, 1943, in Natchitoches, Louisiana, to Lenora Garcia and Otis Prothro.  She was preceded in death by her parents.  Survivors include, Husband, Paul Grant of Joaquin; Daughter, Shanna Murphey of Austin; Son, Brian Grant of La Marque; Brother, Stanley Prothro & wife Carolyn of Arcadia, Louisiana.
