Bruce Yarbrough, 74, died April 26, 2025, in Lockhart, Texas. Interment was in Cold Springs Cemetery, Nacogdoches County. He was born July 28, 1950, to Eugene “Shorty” Yarbrough and Lucille Christopher Yarbrough in Grisby Community, on the Shelby County line. He graduated from Center High School in 1968. Vernon Dale Freeman, 91, of Center, Texas, died Friday, May 2, 2025, in Nacogdoches, Texas. Interment was in Joaquin Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born September 12, 1933, in Joaquin, Texas, to Larnell Lee Freeman and Britt Annie Nunley. Retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel, Verlon served in the United States Army Reserves and was also a veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by, Parents, Larnell lee Freeman and Britt Annie Nunley; Brothers, Travis Freeman, J.C. Freeman, Dennis Freeman, Billy Freeman.
