The Shelby County Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting May 21, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. in the Shelby County Museum on Pecan Street. Our guest speaker this month will be Doug Fincher.   He will speak to us about Bird Watching in Shelby County.   Everyone is invited to attend

The newest display at the museum focuses on Shelby County 4-H and its many projects. Pictures, awards, samples of projects, costumes, and other memorabilia has been gathered and is on display now. The Shelby County Horse Project has blessed many families throughout the years of its existence and is a major part of the 4-H display. Come to the open house and view the many interesting exhibits at the Shelby County Museum.

She was born on August 14, 1950 in Center, Texas to Harold Eugene Spurlock and Billie Jean Whiddon Spurlock. Joyce graduated from Joaquin High School. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Eugene Spurlock.
