Ima Faye McClure, 89, of Tenaha, Texas, died May 24, 2022 in Carthage, Texas.  Interment was in St. John Cemetery, Tenaha.  She was born August 6, 1932 in Tenaha, Texas to the late John Henry and Lousia Bussey Adams.  She was preceded in death by, Parents; Husband, Elfinis James McClure, Sr.; Son, Gregg McClure.  Survivors include, Children, Maxine Berry, Elfinis James McClure, Jr., Mattie Fields, Deborah McClure, Elvis McClure, Kenneth McClure, Aubury McClure.

KAREN SUE HONEA
Karen Sue Honea, 54, died May 28, 2022, in Center, Texas.  Interment was in Bennett Chapel Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born on April 2, 1968 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to George and Loydean Honea.  She was preceded in death by her parents. GLORIA BOOTH PETERSON
Gloria Booth Peterson, formerly of Shelbyville, Texas and now of Nacogdoches, Texas, died on May 19, 2022, at CHI St. Luke in Lufkin, Texas.  Interment was in Rather Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born to the late Lee Ester Booth and the late Christine Cartwright Booth in Orange, Texas.  Survivors include, Son, Archie Peterson, Jr. of San Angelo, Texas; Daughters, Tracey Peterson of Dallas, Texas, Camillia Peterson of Nacogdoches, Texas; Siblings, Caroline Booth, Stacey Booth, Jackie Fredrick, Cleveland Booth.

REBECCA ANN SIMMONS
Rebecca “Becky” Ann Simmons, 81, died May 28, 2022 at her home in Jones Creek, Texas.  Interment was in Corinth Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born January 2, 1941 in Timpson, Texas to John Herbert and Margaret (Prycer) Eakin.  She graduated Salutatorian from Timpson High School in 1959. She continued her education at the University of St. Thomas in Houston where she obtained a double major in Biology and English in only 3 years. Immediately after graduation she worked as a research assistant at Baylor College of Medicine. Her true calling was to educate, so in 1963 she accepted a position teaching high school Biology at Brazosport High School in Freeport, Texas.  She was preceded in death by, Parents; Brother, John Prycer Eakin.  Survivors include, Husband, John Earl Simmons; Children, Adrienne Simmons, Amy (Mark) Diehl, Eric Simmons; Brothers, Tony (Maureen) Eakin, Gregory Eakin; Sisters, Janeice Carrington, Monica (Brad) Fitzgerald.

 

CLAUDE RICHARD PRIDGEN
Claude Richard Pridgen, 81, of Joaquin, died May 27, 2022, in Shreveport, Louisiana.  Interment was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center, Texas.  He was born July 17, 1940, to Lurline Glaze and Claude Pridgen.  He was preceded in death by, Parents; Sister, Betty Dean; Brothers, Bill Pridgen, Johnny Pridgen; Sister-in-law, Jane Pridgen; Brother-in-law, Webb Dean.  Survivors include, Wife, Sue Stone Pridgen of Joaquin; Daughter, Jamie & husband Tom Junkin of Hunt, Texas; Son, Lane Pridgen and Claudette Kendrick of Joaquin; Sister, Barbara & husband Jim Coulter of Joaquin; Sisters-in-law, Barbara Pridgen of Joaquin, Shirley and Bill Irish of Castroville, Texas.

CHARLES LEMOINE WILLIAMS
Charles Lemoine Williams, 90, of Center, died May 28, 2022, in Nacogdoches.  Interment was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Shelby County.  He was born April 4, 1932, in Shelby County, to Inez Nail and Kaufman Pearl Williams. He served his country in the United States Army.  He was preceded in death by, Wife, Jackie Williams; Daughter, Kay Stewart; Parents; Brothers, Doyle Williams, K.P.
