Ruby Warr Smith, 83, of Sardis, died May 31, 2017, in Center. Interment was in Old Salem Cemetery, Shelby County. She was born in the Aiken Community of Shelby County on April 29, 1934, to Ernest Green Warr and Lid Luman. She was preceded in death by, Parents; Brothers, Velt, Homer, E. C., Bobby, L. C., Freddie, Billy; Sisters, Crickett Vandergriff, Shirley Nethery. Survivors include, Husband, Ray Smith, of Sardis; Son and his family, Rodger Dale and Brenda McLane, of Deadwood; Daughter, Patti Miller, of Reno, Nevada and her family; Sisters, Mary Scates & husband, Bubba, of Center, Betty Prior & husband, Travis, of Longview.

WAYNE ELLIOTT
Wayne “Hub” Elliott, 72, of Shelbyville, died June 02, 2017 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Interment was in Elliott Family Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born March 15, 1945 in Shelby County to Herbert A. Elliott and Willie B. Anderson Elliott. He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Elliott. Survivors include, Wife, Carolyn Elliott of Shelbyville; Children, James Elliott & wife, Terrie of Center, Jan Windham & husband, Kyle of Shelbyville; Mother, Willie B. She was born January 9, 1934 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Joseph Elmer Franklin and Deecee Faye Lane Franklin. She was preceded in death by, Husband, Calvin Travis Barton; Son, Stephen James Barton; Son-in-law, Spencer Battles.
