EDWARD APPLEQUIST
Edward Applequist, 74, of Center, died June 10, 2020 at his residence.He was born on June 12, 1945 in Ross, California to Martin and Louise Applequist.  He served his country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War.  Survivors include, Wife, Brenda Applequist; Son, Cary Applequist; Brother, Mark Applequist; Sister, Karen Applequist.


WILLIAM MORRIS JEFFRESS
William Morris Jeffress, 90, of Gary, Texas, died June 13, 2020, at his home.  He was born on January 18, 1930, in the Murvaul Community, Panola County, to William Jewel “Buddy” Jeffress and Naomi Haynes Jeffress.  He was preceded in death by, Parents; Wife, Wilma Jeffress; Son, Gary Lynn Jeffress; Brothers, Wink Jeffress, Ronald Jeffress, Donald Jeffress; Sister, Marry Ann Gooch; Son-in-law, James “Bulldog” Jackson.  Survivors, Wife, Angie Jeffress; Son, Larry Jeffress & wife Judy of Ariel, Washington; Daughter, Deborah Jackson of Tenaha, Texas; Stepdaughters, Willma Rae Elder of Nacogdoches, Texas, Angie Spurlock of Springfield, Missouri, Serita Porter & husband George of Corpus Christi, Texas; Stepsons, David Fountain of Joaquin, Texas, Bryant Fountain & wife Patricia of Tenaha, Texas, Johnny Fountain & wife Brandy of Henderson, Texas, Raymond Fountain & wife Jody of Center, Texas, Lawrence Fountain of Tenaha, Texas; Brother, Ted Jeffress & wife Teri of Gillette, Wyoming; Sisters, Yvonne Pierce of Gary, Texas, Gladys Essery of Carthage, Texas, Norma Jean “Jeannie” Sims & husband James of Hughes Springs.

BILLY RAY COLLUM
Billy Ray Collum, 79, of Joaquin, Texas, died June 6, 2020 in a Nacogdoches hospital.  Interment will be in Campti Cemetery, Shelby County.  He was born August 29, 1940 in Center, Texas to P. A. Collum and Vertie Holt Collum.  He was preceded in death by, Parents; Son, Robert Collum; Brother, Jerry Collum; Sister, Vernell Goings and husband W. J. Goings; in-laws, Elmo and Marie Cross.  Survivors include, Wife, Deanna Collum; Son, Donnie Collum of Shelbyville; Daughter, Donna Jamison & husband Todd Jamison of Center; Brother, Jack Collum & wife, Frances, of Shreveport, Louisiana.

WILMA DIANA RICHARD
Wilma Diana Richard, 67, died June 14, 2020.  She was born in Timpson, Texas to Winifred Hooper and Lester Roberts on August 6, 1953. She was preceded in death by, Grandparents, Clyde Sr. and Lula Hooper; Parents; Siblings, Belton Hooper (Vera), Bobby Hooper Sr, Mary Driver (Billy), Ima Jean Holman( Nathan), Willie James Hooper(Norma Williams), Clyde Hooper Jr (Ruthie Johnson Hooper), Cynthia Stephens, Robert James Stephens Jr, Robin Stephens Fisher.  She graduated from Timpson High School in 1971. Survivors include, Husband, Ralph Richard; Daughter, Tyecia Lundie (Richard Lundie); Siblings, Betty (Oscar Turner), Earnestine Morris (J. W.), Annie Hooper, Dwight Stephens (Venita), Obie Bussey (Melody).

PAULA BURNS ASKEW
Paula Burns Askew, 61, of Tenaha, died June 14, 2020, in Tenaha.  Interment will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center, Texas.  She was born October 16, 1958, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, to George Burns and Geneva Coleman Burns.  She was preceded in death by her father, George Burns.  Survivors include, Daughters, Gina Furra & husband James of Tenaha, Clara Bragg & husband Douglas of Center; Mother, Geneva Burns of Tenaha.
