BILLY MIMS
Billy “Joe Boy” Mims, 70 of Center, Texas, died June 23, 2021, at Michael E. DeBarkey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas.  Interment was in Westview Cemetery, Center.  He was born to Billy Earl Mims and Velma Jackson in San Augustine, Texas.  Survivors include, Wife, Sandra Mims of Center; Son, Joseph Mims of Center; Daughter, Joycelyn Mims of Center.

MABLE MONTGOMERY JOHNSON
Mable Montgomery Johnson, 96, died June 4, 2021.  She was born on July 27, 1924 in Shelbyville, Texas to Bertha and William Montgomery.   She attended elementary school in the area and went on to attend high school at Timpson High School.  She was preceded in death by, Parents; Husband, William Johnson; Son, Wendell Johnson; Sisters, Mariam Montgomery, Lillian Lister.  Survivors include, Son, Larry Johnson (Claudette Byrd); Daughter, Cynthia Adams (Howard, Jr.).
Final care was provided by Calvary Mortuary, Beaumont, Texas.

REBECCA JO WOMACK KING
Rebecca Jo Womack King, 68, of Monroe, Louisiana, died June 26, 2021, in Monroe, Louisiana.  Interment was in Ramah Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born February 1, 1953 in Carthage, Texas, to Joe Dan and Wandell Womack.  She was preceded in death by, Father, Joe Dan Womack; Sister, Terry Womack.  Survivors include, Husband, Joe Allen King of Monroe, Louisiana; Daughters, Katie Sanders & husband Bob of Las Vegas, Nevada, Jenni Pevoto & husband Sean of Las Vegas, Nevada; Mother, Wandell Womack of Tenaha; Sister, Lou Jane Womack of Tenaha; Brother, Jerry Womack of Woodlawn.

STEVEN PAUL FARMER
Steven Paul Farmer, 64, of Tenaha, died June 28, 2021, in Longview.  Interment will be in Ramah Cemetery, Shelby County.  He was born November 14, 1956, in Abbeville, Louisiana, to Chester Ray Farmer and Bernice Rita Bourgeois Farmer. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps.  He was preceded in death by, Parents;  Sister, Barbara Newman.  Survivors include, Wife, Brenda Farmer of Tenaha; Sons, Jason Farmer & wife Melanie of Tenaha, Alan Farmer of Tenaha; In-laws, Hiram and Beth Melton; Brothers, Chester Farmer Jr. & wife Sandy of Carthage, Randy Farmer of Converse, Louisiana; Sister, Jeanette Ortigo & husband Ronney of Longview; Brother-in-law, Richard Newman of Longview.

NANCY HUFFERD HOLMES
Nancy Hufferd Holmes, 72, of Center, died June 26, 2021, in Center.  Interment was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center, Texas.  She was born August 23, 1948, in Greenville, Texas, to L.C. Hufferd and Ople Verner Hufferd.  She was preceded in death by, Parents; Son-in-law, Gavin Roslund; Brother, L.C. “Top” Hufferd.  Survivors include, Husband, Stephen Holmes of Delta, Colorado; Daughters, Rebekah Ann Durham & husband Dr. Mark of Temple, Texas, Sarah Gail Roslund of Littleton, Colorado; Sister-in-law, Evelyn Hufferd of Lake Murvaul, Texas.

HERMENEGILDO MARTINEZ-RAMIREZ
Hermenegildo “Herman” Martinez-Ramirez, 45, of Center, died June 24, 2021, in Longview, Texas.  Interment was in Neuville Cemetery, Shelby County.  He was born July 23, 1975, in Comonfort, Guanajuato, Mexico, to Adan Ramirez and Victoria Martinez Ramirez.  He was preceded in death by, Sister, Maria Ramirez.  Survivors include, Children, Adam Ramirez & girlfriend Ashley of Center, Tori Ramirez & boyfriend JaMichael of Center, Angelique Sigler & husband Corey of Center, John Parks & wife Briget of Center; Brothers, Fernando Ramirez & wife Adriana of Center, Silvestre Ramirez & wife Aleyda of Center, Adam Ramirez & wife Rebeca of Center; Former wife of 21 years, Rose Parks, of Center.

Edna M. Dean, 86, of Humble, died June 29, 2021 in Garrison.  Interment will be in  Tennessee Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born June 19, 1935, in Timpson.

JAMES BEASLEY
James Beasley, 77, of Center, died June 27, 2021 in Beaumont, Texas.  Interment will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center, Texas.  He was born May 2, 1944 to James Furlon Beasley and Margaret Frances (Creech) Beasley. James was a graduate of Shelbyville High School class of ’62.
