JAMES K. GREER
James K. Greer, 66, of Center, died July 5, 2017, in Houston. Interment was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center, Texas. He was born November 16, 1950, in Nacogdoches, to Thomas Bill Greer and Bettye Smith Greer. He was preceded in death by, Father, Thomas Bill Greer. After 26 years of serving as a County Extension Agent for Agriculture & 4-H, he retired from the Texas Cooperative Extension Service in 2003. He continued his passion for serving youth and the agriculture community in Shelby County after retirement. He became a popular local radio personality with his daily program on KDET in Center called Agriculture This Morning. He was elected to serve on the Center ISD School Board in 2014 and served as President since elected. Survivors include, Wife, Becky Greer of Center; Children, Collin Greer & wife, Courtney, of Shelbyville, Kristen Clark & husband, Greg, of Rio Vista; Mother, Bettye Greer of Diboll; Sister, Jean McCollum & husband, Michael, of Naples, Florida.

Patricia Ann Lampley, 66, of Tenaha, died July 9, 2017, in Tenaha. Interment was in Ramah Cemetery, Tenaha, Texas. She was born August 13, 1950, in Noble, Louisiana, to Joe McDonald and Ruby Woolsey McDonald.
