Steve J. Stephens, 92, died July 10, 2025, in Center, Texas. Interment was in White Rock Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born on November 24, 1932, in Shelby County, Texas, to Hamp S. Stephens and Dovie (Smith) Stephens. He graduated from Center High School and went on to serve his country with honor in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by, Parents; Brother, T.O. Stephens; Sisters, Benna Dell Russell and La Faye Perkins; Son-in-law, Danny Paul Bush. Lowman Russell, 85, of Nacogdoches, died July 14, 2025, in Nacogdoches. Interment was in White Rock Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born December 8, 1939, in Shelby County, to Nathan Thomas Russell and Evelyn Sarah Fancher Russell. He served in the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include, Wife, Deorthy Murray Long Russell of Nacogdoches; Daughters, Kelli Mathews of Center, Mica Matlock of Cushing; Stepchildren, Kimberly Honeywell, Penny Scarborough; Brother, Haron Russell and wife Pat of Denning; Sister, Sharon and husband Bobby Spells of Diboll.
