Dustin Mikel Sanford, 33, of Center, died July 21, 2023.  Interment will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center.  He was preceded in death by his father, Mikel Wayne Sanford.  Survivors include, Mother, Sandy Sanford & fiancé Keith Shields of Center; Daughter, Micah Grace Sanford of Center; Brother, Bradley Richards (Duck) & fiancé Lora Harrell of Center; Sisters, Nikki Postell & husband, Ben of Center, Montana Windham & husband, Julian of LaPorte, Lexie Sanford & her mother, Misty Yencho of Houston.

DIXIE RUTH TAYLOR BARNES
Dixie Ruth Taylor Barnes, 81, of Rosenberg, Texas, died July 22, 2023, n Rosenberg, Texas.  Interment was in Willow Grove Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born on October 18, 1941, in Lone Cedar, Texas, between Center and Joaquin to Richard Wagstaff and Janie Huff Wagstaff. She was preceded in death by, Husbands, Joe Howard Taylor, Ralph Barnes; Parents; Daughters, Beverly Jane Taylor, Laura Jane Taylor; Sisters, Francis Rendon, Mary Clark.  Survivors include, Sons, Richard H. Taylor Sr. & wife Susie of Damon, Texas, William E. Taylor of Rosenburg, Texas; Daughter, Donna Taylor Wilson & husband Craig of Sargent, Texas.

DYAN GRABBS
Dyan Grabbs, 62, of Winona, Texas, died July 23, 2023.  Interment will be in Starrville Cemetery, Gladewater, Texas.  She was born October 8, 1960 in Shelby County to Ramon Jamison and Rani Fleming Jamison.  At the age of 20 Dyan worked at the radio station in Center, Texas.  She was preceded in death by, Father, Ramon Jamison; Husband, Michael Grabbs.  Survivors include, Children, Casey Lake Grabbs of Winona, Texas, Angela Nichole Cline & husband Nick of Kilgore, Richard Bradley Jernigan & wife Cynthia of Tyler; Mother, Rani Fleming Jamison of Center; Sister, Kim Jamison & wife Kayla Hester of Giddings; Brother, Alfred Jamison & wife Debbie of Lufkin.

ANGIE MAE SPARKS BARNETT
Angie Mae Sparks Barnett, 78, died July 14, 2023.  Interment will be in Rather Cemetery, Shelby County.  A viewing will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023 from 1pm until 6pm at Friendship Baptist Church, 23031 CR 2183 N, Tatum, Texas 75691. Service will be held Saturday, July 29 at 11am at Friendship Baptist Church with interment following at Rather Cemetery, Shelbyville, Texas.
Services are under the direction of Harmon and Harmon Funeral Associates, 208 E. Main St., Ore City, Texas 75683.


BRENDA MARIE CASSELL
Brenda Marie Cassell, 61, of Shelbyville, died July 24, 2023, in Shelbyville.  Interment will be in Dunnigan Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born July 28, 1961, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to James Vaught and Wanda Ezernack Vaught.  She was preceded in death by her parents.  Survivors include, Husband, Randy Cassell of Shelbyville; Sister, Cindy Lowe & husband James; Brother, James “J.C.” Vaught & wife Chelsie.

NORMA GENE BATES
Norma Gene Bates, 74, of Joaquin, Texas, died July 24, 2023, in Shreveport, Louisiana.   Interment was in Willow Grove Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born on February 15, 1949, in Center, Texas, to the late Aaron Avery Blount Sr. and Girtuce Parker Blount.  She graduated from Joaquin High School.  She was preceded in death by, Husband, Webb Bates; Infant daughter, Meta Michelle Bates; Sister, Clara Ann Touchstone; Brother, Aaron Blount, Jr.  Survivors include, Son, Michael Bates & wife Julie; Sisters, Mickie Shull, Sandra Stephens & husband Jimmy.
