Mary Edith Foster, 78, of Van, died October 5, 2015, in Tyler. Interment will be in New Hope Cemetery, Shelby County. She was born December 13, 1936, in Center, to Babe Harris and Paula Satterwhite Harris. She was preceded in death by, Parents; Daughter, Caren Foster Butler; Brothers, Jimmy Harris, George Harris. Survivors include, Son, Davis Foster & wife, Debbie, of Van; Daughter, Catherine Hitt & husband, Dwayne, of Fort Worth.

She was born August 2, 1933, in Jasper County, Illinois, to Herman Forthman and Roxy Clagg Forthoman. She was preceded in death by her parents. Jerry Donald Hammers, 66, of Timpson, Texas, died October 2, 2015 in Nacogdoches, Texas. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Timpson, Texas. He was born on April 7, 1949, in Center, Texas, to Emrie Hammers and Sylvia Malke. Jerry graduated Timpson High School Class of 1967. He then served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his parents.
