MICHAEL W. RAMSEY
 Michael W. Ramsey, 70, of Timpson, Texas, died October 5, 2023, at his residence in Timpson.  He was born on May 2, 1953, in Houston, Texas, to Edward B. Ramsey and Bernice (Hughes) Ramsey.  He was preceded in death by, Parents; Wife, Cindy P. Ramsey; Brother, Steve Ramsey.  Survivors include, Daughter, Michelle King of Timpson; Son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Brittany Ramsey of Lufkin; Brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Nancy Ramsey of Houston.
A Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home.

AARON WELDON BOLES
Aaron Weldon Boles, 87, of Center, died October 6, 2023, at home.  Interment will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center.  He was born January 27, 1936 in Center, Texas to Aaron Stephenson and Mary Barbee Boles.  He was preceded in death by, Parents, Aaron Stephenson and Mary Barbee Boles; Brother, Waylon S. Boles, Sr. and wife Thelma Boles; Brother-in-law, James Neil Campbell; Mother of his children, Jimmie Louise Boles.  Survivors include, Daughters, Sheila Harris & husband Roy, Lisa McAdams & husband Billy Bob; Sister, Mary Helen Boles Campbell of Houston.

SARA EDISON GOLDSBERRY
Sara Edison Goldsberry, 72, of Shelbyville, died October 6, 2023, in Carthage.  Interment was in New Hope Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born April 8, 1951, to J.H. Edison and Joyce Sanford Edison.  She was preceded in death by, Father, J.H. Edison; Sisters, Sandra Edison, Sheila Windham.  Survivors include, Daughter, Younda Dunman; Son, Clint Ramsey; Mother, Joyce Hughes; Brother, James Edison.

MARK ANTHONY KINDRED
Mark Anthony Kindred, 67, died October 11, 2023, in Joaquin.  He was born August 12, 1956 to Earl Kindred and Edna Bell Kindred. Mark served in the United States Navy.  Private family memorial service will be held at a later date.  He was preceded in death by, Parents; Sister, Faye Jackson; Brother, Mike Kindred.  Survivors include, Daughter, Stephanie Payne.

JUANITA WARR SHILLINGS
Juanita Warr Shillings, 96, died October 9, 2023 at her home in Shreveport, Louisiana.  She was preceded in death by, Parents, Perry and Opal Warr; Brother, O'Neal Warr; Sister, Helen Bradshaw; Husband, Loyd Shillings; Sons, Jerry, Barry, and Michael Shillings; Son in law, Bill Cooksey.  Survivors include, Son, Larry Shillings & girlfriend, Kellie See; Daughter, Donna Shillings Cooksey.
After donation of her body to science and medical research(LSU/Ochshner's), a Memorial Service will be held on Thursday - October 19, 2023 at 11:00AM at Brookwood Baptist Church by Bro. David Rice and Bro. John Harp.

THURMAN EDWARD SANFORD
Thurman Edward Sanford, 86, of Center, Texas, died October 11, 2023.  He was born on March 21, 1937, in Center, Texas, to Arlon Otis Sanford and Alice Virginia (Cain) Sanford.  He was preceded in death by, Parents; Brothers, Olen Lee Sanford, Raymond Glen Sanford and wife Susan, Floyd Alvin Sanford, an infant brother.  Survivors include, Wife, Oleta Sanford; Son, Lonnie Edward Sanford & wife Lisette; Daughters, Linda Marie Taylor & husband Thomas, Larissa Maylene Harris & husband Ben; Brother, Arlon Sanford, Jr.; Sister-in-law, Guelda Sanford.

Brown Harrison; Husband, John Womack; Brothers, Melvin Harrison, Charles Harrison, Commodore Harrison.  Survivors include, Children, Hiram Harrison (Retena) of Center, Brenda Harrison, April Parson (Anthony), Nick D. Baines, Stephen Baines (Raychelle), Dominique Womack; Siblings, Sister, Dorothy Washington; Brother, Marshall Harrison (Mary Ann), Brother, Lonnie Harrison, Jr. (Joann), Brother, Paul Harrison.

JANICE KAY EAVES FAUSSETT
Janice Kay Eaves Faussett, 73, of Tenaha, Texas, died October 13, 2023, in Nacogdoches, Texas.  Interment was in Restland Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born on December 2, 1949, in Center, Texas, to Floyd Eaves and Maurice (Ballard) Eaves.  She was preceded in death by, Parents; Sister-in-law, Sara Eaves.  Survivors include, Husband, David Faussett of Tenaha; Daughter, Billie Kay Wheless & husband Jason of Logansport, Louisiana; Brothers, Renny Eaves, Randall Eaves.

Noel D. Grant, 89, of Center, died October 16, 2023, in Center.  Interment will be in Powdrill Cemetery, Shelby County.  He was born September 6, 1934, in Shelby County, to Hoya Grant and Ruth Smith Grant.  He was preceded in death by, Wife, Dale Grant; Son, Shawn Grant; Parents.  Survivors include, Wife, Dot Grant of Center; Daughters, Nolette Grant of Corpus Christi, Meg Morgana Grant & husband Tyrone Johnson of Center; Son, Hoya Grant of West Monroe, Louisiana; Brother, Neal Grant & wife Jackie of the Arcadia Community of Shelby County.

JAMES ROBERT HOLMES
James Robert Holmes, 78, of Houston, Texas, died October 13, 2023. He was born on November 11, 1944, in Nacogdoches, Texas.   Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Leonard and Corine Akridge Holmes of Center, Texas.  He served as a Medical Laboratory Specialist in the Army from 1965 to 1971, both on active duty and in the Reserve until his honorable discharge in December 1971. For his service, Jim received the National Defense Service Medal. Continuing his education, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in August 1974 from National Christian University. In February 1975 Jim was awarded his Medical Technologist Registration from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists Board of Registry.  Survivors include, Wife, Marty Quick Holmes; Daughters, Robin "Mandy" Holmes Brock (Tommy Brock), Ashley Holmes McDonald (Mace McDonald); Stepdaugthers, Sheryl Quick Duport (Paul Duport), Jennifer Quick Mills (Randy Mills).  He was a beloved brother to Janie Rains (Rex Rains) and Howard Holmes (Dee Holmes).

BRENT WARREN DANCE
Brent Warren Dance, 51, of Center, Texas, died October 16, 2023.  Interment will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center.  He was born on September 13, 1972, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Sammy Dance and Barbara (Warren) Dance.  Brent graduated from Center High School in 1991.  Brent is preceded in death by his grandparents, Carlton and Hulon Dance, Dr. and Mrs. Spencer Warren; uncles, William Spencer Warren, Thomas Charles Warren; and aunt, Donna Warren Holt.  Survivors include, Parents, Sammy and Barbara Dance; Son, Raymond Edward Dance; Brothers, Spence Dance & wife Monica, Sammy Jefferson Dance & wife Judith.

NICK WILKINSON, ne JAMES TROY WILKINSON
Nick Wilkinson, formerly James Troy Wilkinson, 69, of Center, died September 29, 2023 on the island of Kauai, Hawaii. He was born April 12, 1954 in New York City, New York.  James Troy Wilkinson graduated from Center High School in 1972.  Wilkinson was the longtime director of casting for Theatre Communications Group in New York City, then Goodman Theatre in Chicago, and later a casting director for ABC Television. After retiring from casting, he served a brief time as a docent at Los Angeles County Museum of Art. He returned to writing and then playwriting joining the much-produced comedy playwright trio known as Jones Hope Wooten.  He is survived by his husband, Jamie Wooten and four children: Nick, Jr., Hope, Will, and Grace Wilkinson.

Dorothy O. Hooper, 90, of Joaquin, died October 9, 2023, in Nacogdoches.  Interment will be in Sholar Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born October 17, 1932, in Nacogdoches County, to John Preston Hooper and Mary Elizabeth McKinney Hooper.  She was preceded in death by, Parents; Brothers and Sisters, Tuel Hooper, Raymond Hooper, Marlin Hooper, Maurine Hooper, Travis Hooper, and Royce (Dugan) Hooper.  Survivors include, Niece and nephews, Tommy Spurlock of Joaquin, Duane Hooper of Houston, Gerald Hooper of Houston, Martha Burch of Houston, Donald Hooper of Shreveport, Louisiana, Charles Hooper of Louisiana, Kenneth Hooper.

PAUL WENDELL AMOS

Paul Wendell Amos, 87, of Tomball, Texas, died October 9, 2023. Interment will be in Corinth Cemetery, Shelby County. Survivors include, Wife Linda S Amos; Brother, Phillip R. KENNETH PRICE
Kenneth Price, 74, of Port Arthur, Texas, died on October 16, 2023, in Beaumont, Texas.  No service is scheduled for Mr. Price.  He was born to the late O. J. Price and Lucy B. Waltz Price in Center, Texas on July 11, 1949.  Survivors include, Brother, Odis Price of Peoria, Arizona.
