W. I. DAVIS, JR.
W. I. Davis, Jr., 92, of Center, Texas, died October 17, 2014 at his home in Center, Texas. Interment was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center, Texas. W. I. Davis, Jr., a lifelong resident, was born in Center, Texas to W. .I. Davis, Sr. and Eula Redditt Davis on September 29, 1922. He graduated from Center High School in 1939. He served his country in the U. S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was preceded in death by, Parents; Sisters, Christine Kenny Hankins, Catherine Davis Pinkston. Survivors include, Wife, Inez Neilson Davis; Son, Neilson Davis & wife, Diana Ashby; Daughter, Cynthia Davis Griffin & husband, Guy Griffin.

NOLAN COGSWELL
Nolen Cogswell, 90, of Joaquin, died October 18, 2014 at his residence. Interment was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center, Texas. He was born November 10, 1923, to Aquila Levi Cogswell and Mary Elizabeth Day. He graduated from Center High School in 1942. Nolen did not qualify for military service, but served his country during World War II by working in the shipyards in Seattle, Washington, building destroyers. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include, Wife, Ellen Cogswell of Joaquin, Texas; Children, Doug Cogswell of Joaquin, Texas, Phyllis Franks of Conroe, Texas, Mary Ellen Lowe & husband, Buren, of Joaquin, Texas, Lori Willey & husband, Pat, of Magnolia, Texas; Brothers, James Henry Cogswell & wife, Judy, of Reserve, Louisiana, Pat Cogswell & wife, Mary, of Dickinson, Texas; Brothers-in-law, Carl, Del, Les, and Glen Hagenlock, Roger Hagenlock & wife, Bonnie.

THELMA HOOTER
Thelma Hooter, 73, of Shelbyville, died October 16, 2014 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Her wishes were to be cremated and no services are planned at this time. She was born February 27, 1941 in Idabelle, Oklahoma to Jarvis and Lehi Arck Level. She was preceded in death by a brother & a sister. Survivors include, Husband, Marvin Hooter of Shelbyville; Step Son, Kevin Hooter & wife, Juliene of Gilbert, Arizona; Sisters-in-law, Mary Cooper of Dayton, Anita Hunter of Dayton; Brothers-in-law, Howard Hooter & wife, Teresa of Dickinson, Buddy Hooter & wife, Linda of Troy; Sisters, Donna, Shirley, Sally & Gloria Jean.

Cole Hooper, 50, of Center, died October 22, 2014 in Nacogdoches. Interment will be in White Rock Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born January 8, 1964 in Center to Billy Wayne Hooper and Ann Crain Hooper. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Wayne Hooper.
