BETTY JO COOK
Betty Jo Cook, 78, of Center, died October 11, 2023.  Interment was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born on April 3, 1945 to H. O. Williams and Sarah Goodwin.  Ira Goodwin was her step-father and raised her as one of his own.  She was preceded in death by, Parents; Step-father, Ira Goodwin; Children, Doyla Jo Tarver, Tony Cook, James Cook; Siblings, Juanita Roland, Charles Goodwin, Asie B. Goodwin, Ira Joe Goodwin, Uethel Hayes, Shirley Mosley, Velma Petty, Margie Goodwin, Dock Hollis Goodwin.  Survivors include, Children, Towanda Lathan, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Princess Bell, Nacogdoches, Aubrey Cook, Center; Sisters/Brothers, Lula Mae Cook, Tenaha, Patsy Goodwin, Tenaha, Claudia Goodwin, Shelbyville, Rommie Lee Goodwin, Tenaha, Larry Wayne Goodwin (Angela), Lufkin.
Services under the direction of Community Funeral Home, Center, Texas.

DEBORAH J. JONES
Deborah J. Jones, 71, died October 11, 2023.  She was born August 6th, 1952 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Johnny Harvey.  She was preceded in death by, Mother; Daughter, Jacqueline M. Gibbs; Brothers, Ronald, Douglas, and Rodney.  Survivors include, Son, Timothy Murphy (Constance); Daughter, Tammie Smith; Sister, Laura Kann of Cuero, Texas; Brothers, Richard Brown of Cuero, Texas, Caleb Harvey (Paula) of Center, Texas, Mark Harvey (Sandra) of Great Falls Mountains of Montana.
A memorial will follow at a later date.

HERBERT LEON WYATT
Herbert Leon Wyatt, 65, of Center, died October 10, 2023. He was born on April 11, 1958 to Joe Nathan Wyatt and Shirley Jean Jackson. He attended Center High School graduating in 1977.  He was preceded in death by, Father; Sister, Willie Mae Wyatt.  Survivors include, Wife, Lenola Bolton Wyatt; Mother, Shirley Jean Singleton; Sons, Dwayne Wyatt, Derrick Wyatt; Stepdaughter, Deshun Gregory; Sisters, Jettie Evelyn Wortham (A.C.), Jannette Carol Wyatt, Willie Mae Elizabeth Wyatt; Brothers, Rev. James Edwards Wyatt (Simone), Nathan Cornelius Wyatt, Lawrence Fitzgerald Johnson (Fish).

MIKE FODGE
Mike Fodge, 75, of Shelbyville, Texas, died October 18, 2023, in Nacogdoches, Texas. He was born on September 14, 1948, in Sikeston, Missouri, to Charles Edward and Faith Ann (McCambell) Fodge.   He was preceded in death by, Parents; Wife, Kay Fodge.  Survivors include, Daughters, Kalin Fodge, Sheila Harris & husband, DJ, Cheryl Fodge; Son, Charles Michael Glenn Fodge; Sister, Patty Parker; Sister-in-law, Belinda Gay Morrow.

SHERRY ANN YARBOROUGH WARD
Sherry Ann Yarborough Ward, 82, of Center, died October 19, 2023, at home.  Interment was in Waterman Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born on March 30, 1941 in Shelby County to Charles Chester Yarborough and Creva Mae Abbott Yarborough. Sherry graduated from Center High School in 1958. She was preceded in death by, Parents; Brother, Charles Yarborough; Sisters, Charlotte Bailey, Chestine Yarborough, Johnnie Sue Yarborough.  Survivors include, Husband, Jimmy Ward; Sons, Jason Ward & wife Rhonda of Nacogdoches,
John Ward & wife Bridgette of Center; Daughter, Gina Castro & husband Sergio of Hurst, Texas.

KATY CHAMBERS
Katy Chambers, 92, died October 21, 2023, at her residence.  Interment was in Liberty Hill Memorial Garden, San Augustine County.  She was born June 25, 1931, in San Augustine County, Texas, to Wylie Thornton and Maggie (Wells) Thornton.  She was preceded in death by, Husband, Viron B. Chambers; an infant son, Wylie Viron Chambers; Parents; 11 siblings.  Survivors include, Children, Donna Jones and Rusty Jones of Fred, Texas, Rhonda Thompson and Michael Riggins of Shelby County, Lane Chambers and wife Betty of Shelby County.

SELMA FAYE KILLEN BUSH
Selma Faye Killen Bush, 83, of Shelbyville, Texas, died October 22, 2023.  Interment was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center, Texas.     She was born on August 23, 1940, in McClelland, Texas, to George Franklin Killen and Mary Lee Lovell Killen.  She graduated from Shelbyville High School.   Selma was preceded in death by, Husband, Joe Bush; Son, Stevie Bush; Parents; Brother, Charlie Killen; Sisters, Linda Killen, Glenda Killen, Jerry Killen. Survivors include, Daughter, Cheryl Kaul & husband Ralf.

Jean L. Lee, 76, of Center, died October 16, 2023, in Tyler.  Interment will be November 25, 2023 in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center. She was born August 29, 1947, to Florene Mena and Eugene Lanning.  She was preceded in death by, Husband, James Lee, Sr.; Parents;  Sisters, Lucille and Betty Barnes; Brother, Eugene Lanning, Jr.  Survivors include, Children, Sharon Bock & husband Richard, James Lee, Jr. & wife Angela, Ricky Lee & wife Lorinda, Teresa Fletcher & husband Eddie, Denise McCauley; Sister, Theresa & husband Martin.

FRANCES JEAN DENBY
Frances Jean Denby, 89, of Huntington, died October 23, 2023.  Interment will be in West Hamilton Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was  born September 18, 1934, in Hemphill, Texas, to Rex Carl White and Atrell Lilly Wright White.  She was preceded in death by, Parents; Husband, Henry Lamar Denby, Sr.; Daughter, Patricia Ann Wade; Son, Clarence Gene Denby; Brothers, Billy Joe White, Rex “Dink” White, Charlie White, and Fred White.  Survivors include, Son, Lamar Denby, Jr. & wife Roxanne of Huntington; Son, James Denby & wife Debbie of Huntington; Daughter, Shelia Kirkland & husband Dale of Huntington; Son, Michael Denby & wife Florence of the Goober Hill Community; Sisters, Mary Lou Adams, Betty Ann McGowan, Carlyon Joyce Erwin, Jane Hill;Daughter-in-law, Brenda Denby.

Mary Aliece Mobley, 85, died October 21, 2023, in Houston, Texas.  She was born October 28, 1937, in Joaquin, Texas to La Verne Meador English and William Turner English.  She was preceded in death by, Parents; Siblings, Jesse English, Collene Weber; Sons, Larry Wayne Mobley, Thomas Alton Mobley.  Survivors include, Sons, Michael Ray Mobley, Daniel Scott Mobley.

PAMELA JEANETTE MOORE GARRETT
Pamela Jeanette Moore Garrett, 59, of San Augustine, Texas, died October 20, 2023, at the Hospice of East Texas in Tyler, Texas.  Interment will be in Haley Bush Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born December 20, 1963.  Survivors include, Children, Bria Simone Muriel (Jonathan) of Forney, Texas, Brian Gary Garrett of Garland, Texas; Siblings, Mary Kennedy Green of Dallas, Texas, Frederick Moore (Mary) of Nacogdoches, Texas, Barbara Moore Burrell (Antoine) of Houston, Texas, Bobby Lewis Jones of Nacogdoches, Texas; Former Spouse, Gary Garrett of Rockwall, Texas.
