PATSY BARNES PARMER
Patsy Barnes Parmer, 84, of Tenaha, Texas, died October 26, 2023, in Center, Texas.  Interment was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center, Texas.  She was born on December 19, 1938, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Lester Barnes and Flaudia (Permenter) Rogers.  She was preceded in death by, Husband, Billy Parmer; Father, Lester Barnes; Mother, Flaudia Rogers; Step-father, Neal Rogers.  Survivors include, Sons, Kyle Parmer & wife Sara, Dirk Parmer.

SHIRLEY RUTH CARTER
Shirley Ruth Carter, 89, of Shelbyville, Texas, died October 25, 2023, in Center, Texas.  Interment was in Shelbyville Cemetery, Shelby County. She was born on June 29, 1934, in Bebe, Texas, to Jesse Allen and Evelyn Ruth (McGinty) Allen.  She was preceded in death by, Husband, Bruce Carter; parents; brother, J. T. “Bubba” Allen, Jr.; Sister, Marilyn Allen; Brother-in-law, Calvin Allen; Sister-in-law, Iris Allen.  Survivors include, Daughters, Pegie Diane Whitaker of Austin, Texas, Cathy Carter Smith of Shelbyville, Texas, Kayla Carter Bartle & husband David of Whitehouse, Texas.

JUNIOR LEE WILLIAMS
Junior Lee Williams, 74, of Joaquin, died October 22, 2023, in Logansport, Louisiana.  Interment was in Carroll Cemetery, Shelby County.   He was born in Joaquin (Ashton Hills) on April 13, 1949 to Andrew Lee Williams and Accie Williams. He graduated from Joaquin High School.  He served his country in the United States Army.  He was preceded in death by, Father, Andrew Lee Williams; Mother, Accie Williams; Sons, Tyson Price, Bobby Williams; Ten Siblings.  Survivors include, Daughters, LaSonya Lee, Kenyatta Williams, Farah Williams, Michelle Williams; Sons, Christopher Williams, Andrew Lee Williams, Jr.; Brother, Robert A. Williams; Sister, Bertha Mae Jack.

NELL POLLEY
Nell Polley, 88, of Center, died October 29, 2023, in Lufkin.  Interment will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center, Texas.  She was born November 14, 1934, in the Patroon Community of Shelby County, to Ivey Alexander and Maureen Sims Alexander. She was preceded in death Husband, O. H. Polley; Parents; Sister, Nedra Tillman; Brothers, Waymon Alexander, James Alexander, Jack Alexander.  Survivors include, Daughter, Charlotte Sparks & husband H. B.; Son, Mike Polley & wife Raj.

Lena Ellen Chambliss, 83, of Chireno, Texas, died October 30, 2023, in Chireno, Texas.  Interment was in Strong Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born August 19, 1940, in Shelby County, Texas, to Thomas and Viola (Fenley) Chambliss.  She was preceded in death by, Parents; Brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Betty Chambliss.  Survivors include, Brother, Terry Chambliss & wife Elena of Mission, Texas; Sisters, Beverley McCauley & husband Travis of Chireno, Texas, Barbara McCauley & husband W.H. of Nacogdoches, Texas.

Lisa Goings, 65, of Blountsville, Alabama, died September 28, 2023, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Mangum Funeral Home, Center, Texas.  Lisa grew up in Houston, Texas, later moving to Center and subsequently to Blountsville, Alabama.  Survivors include, Daughter, Crystal Lewis & husband Jason of Blountsville, Alabama; Son, Cory Baxley & wife Brandy of Blountsville, Alabama; Mother, Shirley Willoughby of Blountsville, Alabama (originally Center, Texas); Siblings, Timothy Goings of Houston, Tommie Harmel, Jr. of Houston.

Corbet Jones, 73, of Broaddus, Texas, died October 23, 2023.
