Derrick Donnell Brown, 49, died October 25, 2021  He was born May 12, 1972.  Survivors include, Mother, Vera Nell Brown of Nacogdoches; Father, Donald Ray Brown of Nacogdoches; Sons, DeMarcus Brown of Center, Texas, DeKedrick Brown of Center, Texas; Daughters, Daijah Brown of Forney, Texas, Ebony Jackson of Center, Texas; Brothers, Lester (Clarissa) Cartwright of Dallas, Nicky Carey of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Wayne Davis of Augusta, Georgia, Corey Flemon of Austin; Sisters, Iva Nell Rushing of Nacogdoches, Tracie (Tajudeen) Dairo of Dallas, Phyllis Cartwright of Center, Denise Brown-Flanagan (Tim Flanagan) of Houston.

JOE O’NEAL WATKINS
Joe O’Neal “Possum” Watkins, 65, died November 5, 2021, at his home in Center, Texas.  Per Joe O’Neal’s wishes, he will be cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.  He was preceded in death by, Parents, Billie Joe Watkins and Mae Watkins; Brother-in-law, William Stripling III; Sister-in-law, Cecilia Watkins.  Survivors include, Sisters, Debbie & husband Walter Holland of Center, Patricia & husband Steve Dean of Nacogdoches, Angela Susan Stripling of Palestine, Kimberly & husband Larry Plentl of Brookland; Brother, Tony Watkins of Nacogdoches.

Beverly “Anne” Cooper, 88, of Tyler, died November 6, 2021, in Tyler.  Interment was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center, Texas.  She was born November 2, 1933, in Houston, to James Paul Rodgers and Clara Augusta McAdams Rodgers.  She was preceded in death by, Husband, Milton H. JOHN PRYCER EAKIN
John Prycer Eakin, 83, died November 5, 2021 in Lufkin, Texas.  Interment was in Corinth Cemetery, Shelby County.  He was born on July 9, 1938 to John Herbert and Margaret Prycer Eakin.  He served his country in the U.S. Army.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  Survivors include, Son, Troy Eakin; Daughter, Holly Wills & husband, James; Ex-spouse, Bonnie Corley Eakin; Brothers, Tony Eakin & wife, Maureen, Gregory Eakin; Sisters, Becky Simmons & husband, John Earl, Janeice Carrington, Monica Fitzgerald & husband, Brad.

GARVIS NELL McDONALD RABORN
Garvis Nell McDonald Raborn, 89, of Splendora, Texas, died October 10, 2021.  Interment was in Rosewood Funeral Home and Cemetery, Porter, Texas.  She was born June 22, 1932, on the Sabine River in Shelby County, Texas, to Luther James and Cassie Coren Snider McDonald.  She graduated from Shelbyville High School.  She was preceded in death by, Parents; Son, Donald Lawrence Raborn; Sister, Bronice Curtis; Brothers, Howard, Nolan, Marlon, Gordon McDonald.  Survivors include, Husband, “Chick”; Sisters, Jean Risinger & husband Edward, Belva Hoffman; Children, Ronald Raborn, Karen Raborn, Teresa Raborn Pinder & husband Jim, Stephen Raborn & wife Dorlene, Alison Raborn.

FERRELL LAINE BENNETT
Ferrell Laine “Doc” Bennett, 76, of Center, died November 9, 2021, in Nacogdoches.  Interment was in Neuville Cemetery, Shelby County.  He was born November 1, 1945 in San Augustine to Elonzo and Mittie Ann Gillis Bennett.  He served his country as an engineer in the U. S. Army, earning the Gold Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and the Expert and Sharpshooter Badges (M14 and M16). He was preceded in death by, Wife, Glenda Beth “Gussie” Bennett; Son, Alan Glynn Bennett; Parents.  Survivors include, Children, Stuart Laine Bennett of Center, Carmen “Lisa” Coker & husband Gary of Nacogdoches, Kelvin Brandon Bennett & wife Cherry of Center; Brother, Derrell Bennett & wife Sandy of Chireno; Brother-in-law, Charles Spann of Neuville; Sister-in-law, Connie Spann of Center.
