BETTE ANN SAMFORD
Bette Ann Samford, 85, of Center, Texas, died November 24, 2022, in San Augustine, Texas.  She was born on October 16, 1937, in Center, Texas, to Alex Merrill Lucas and Linnie Mittie Stephens Lucas. She graduated from Center High School.  She was preceded in death by, Husband, Ben Samford; Parents; Sister, Carrie Alice Lucas; Brothers and Sisters in law, Clarence Ford Samford & Ann Samford, William Samford & Janell Samford.  Survivors include, Son, C. A. Samford & wife Connie of Denton, Texas; Brother, Claude Austin Lucas & wife Bonnie of Center.

THELMA MAUDINE LEACH
Thelma Maudine Leach, 88, of Center, Texas, died November 25, 2022, in Center, Texas.  Interment was in Antioch Cemetery, San Augustine County.  She was born  April 26, 1934, in Center, Texas, to Alton Murphy Sigler and Narnie Lee Byford Sigler.  She was preceded in death by, Husbands, Clarence "Sid” Leach, RC Scott; Parents; Son, Clarence Elvin Leach; Brothers, Otis Norfleet Sigler, William Henry Sigler; Sisters, Wilda Marie Leach Porter, Mary Helen Blackburn.  Survivors include, Daughters, Mary Ann Rushing of Deridder, Louisiana, Rhonda Barlow & husband Jerry of Center; Twin sister, Velma Woodle of Bogota.

HELEN JOHNETTE CHILDRESS KALUZA
Helen Johnette Childress Kaluza, 97, of Tatum, Texas, died November 27, 2022, in Tatum, Texas.  A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Tennessee Community Presbyterian Church, Timpson, Texas, officiated by Robert Adamson.   She was born on October 6, 1925, in Comanche, Texas, to James Oliver and Iva Kathlene Burt Childress.  She was preceded in death by, Husband, Arnold F. Kaluza, Sr.; Parents; Son, Arnold F. Kaluza, Jr.; Daughter, Jenetta Kaluza.  Survivors include, Daughter, Joanne Cooper & husband, Richard.

RUTH ANN SUELL SORIA
Ruth Ann Suell Soria, 68, of Shelbyville, died November 26, 2022 in Center at the emergency room.   Interment was in Thompson Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born on January 24, 1954 to Matthew Lee and Emma Lee Suell.  Ruth attended school in Shelbyville ISD and later graduated from Job Corp in McKinney, Texas.  She was preceded in death by, Parents; Husband, Manuel Soria; Brother, Matthew lee and Lee Edward Suell.  Survivors include, Sons, Christopher Suell of Shelbyville, Manuel R. MATTIE PEARL CRANFORD
Mattie Pearl Cranford, 69, of Center, died November 25, 2022 at Nacogdoches Medical Center.  Interment was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Center, Texas.  She was born on August 11, 1953 in Center, Texas to Mr. John Henry Yarbrough and Mrs. Equator Yarbrough.  She attended Center High School and graduated in 1971. She was preceded in death by, Husband, Michael Cranford; Father, John Henry Yarbrough; Mother, Equator Yarbrough; Brother, John Wayne Yarbrough.  Survivors include, Children, Ashley Cranford (Javier), Valree Johnson (Michael), Joseph Cranford,

Paula Jeanne Phillips, 75, of Center, died November 30, 2022, in Center. VINCE BAUWENS
Vince Bauwens, 82, died November 25, 2022 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was born February 5, 1940 in Des Moines, Iowa to Rudolph Bauwens and Ellen McNeeley Bauwens. He retired from the United States Navy after 20 years of service, during which he received three Purple Hearts.  He was preceded in death by, Wife, Marjorie Bauwens; Parents.  Survivors include, Wife, Delores Halliburton Bauwens of Center; Daughter, Shawn Lowater & family of Center; Sons, Scott Bauwens of Montana, Pat Bauwens of California; Sister, Debra McQuarrie of Nevada; Sisters-in-law, Linda Walden of Center, Anitra Harris & husband Terry of Carthage, Peggy Smith of Center.

MICHAEL WAYNE KINDRED
Michael Wayne Kindred, 70, of Joaquin, Texas, died October 29, 2022, in Center, Texas. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery, Nacogdoches, Texas.  He was born on November 25, 1951, in Davenport, Iowa, to Earl Raymond Kindred and Edna Bel Wright.  He served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam.  He was preceded in death by, Parents; Sister, Faye Owen.  Survivors include, Wife, Patsy; Sons, Michael Wayne Kindred II, Lance Burns; Daughters, Heather Marie Plunkett & husband Hoyt, Misty Brooks & Sam Snyder, Kelly Davis, Jodi Miller, Wendy Goolsby & husband Willie; Daughter-in-law, Tonya Kindred; Brother, Mark Kindred; Sister, Marsha Winton.

LULA PEARL BEAN-BOWLIN
Lula Pearl Bean-Bowlin, 103, died November 26, 2022. There will be a family graveside service at the Magnolia Springs Cemetery, which was donated by her family, in Kirbyville, Texas.  She was born on June 13, 1919, in Kinder, Louisiana, to Arthur Hardy and Eunice Bean.  She is the widow of William Rhea “Bill” Bowlin.  Lula and Bill were active members of their community of Center, Texas. Later in life, they could often be found chatting for hours on the back patio or dancing to the radio for no reason in particular. Bill left this world in 1996 and Lula would often say how she missed him every day. She was a faithful member of the Center, Texas, United Methodist Church (UMC) and later transferred her membership to Shreveport UMC in downtown Shreveport, Louisiana, when she moved to Shreveport in 2008.  Survivors include, Daughters, Barbara Sanderson & husband, Dr. Terry Sanderson, of Richmond, Texas, Susan Tapley & husband Tim of Richmond, Texas, Karen Ogletree & husband Barry of Lufkin, Texas, Kathryn Thomas & husband Miller of Shreveport, Louisiana,
Jane Bowlin-Burt of Dallas, Texas.
