Bobbye Emken, 89, of Joaquin, formerly of Galveston, died November 25, 2015 at Green Acres Nursing Home. Interment was in Jackson Cemetery, Shelby County. She was born November 07, 1926 in Shelby County to John Robert and Bertha Ellis Latimer. She was preceded in death by, Parents; Husband, Roy Emken; Brother, Leon Latimer. Survivors include, Son, John Lawrence “Larry” Rymal of Joaquin; Brother, Jack Latimer of Joaquin.

Billie Jean Taylor King, 77, of San Augustine, died November 30, 2015 in San Augustine. Interment was in Antioch Cemetery, San Augustine. Ernest’s wishes were to donate his body to Baylor College in hopes that he could be part of a medical advancement in the fight against diseases.
