Week Ending January 07, 2016

________

The Shelby County Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting January 19, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. in the Shelby County Museum on Pecan Street. The guest speaker this month will be our own Teddy Hopkins.  He will speak to us about Mr. R. L. Parker.  Everyone is invited to attend.

A new planning initiative of the "Shelby County Historical Society Museum & Library" has been established to pursue continuing development of its genealogy/local history library. David Swanzy, who has agreed to lead this effort, asks members with genealogical/local history interests to stay after the program (no longer than 30 minutes) to participate in an introductory discussion.
