The Shelby County Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting April 16, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. in the Shelby County Museum on Pecan Street. Our guest speaker this month will be Terri Lacher.  She will speak to us about the History of the Banking in Texas.  Everyone is invited to attend

Arnette Darlene Richerson, 78, of Timpson, Texas, died March 21, 2019 in Timpson.  Interment was in Corinth Cemetery, Shelby County. She was born April 2, 1940, in Houston, Texas, to William Richard Hicks and Florence Audrey Weems Hicks. She was preceded in death by, Parents; Husband, Lloyd Mitchell; Husband, John Barney Richerson II; Sons, John B. Richerson III, Douglas Wayne Richerson; Sister, Sharon Garland. Survivors include, Daughters, Sheryl Mitchell Pyle & husband Ronald Pyle of Cypress, Texas, Darla Andries & husband Martin Andries of Carthage, Texas; Brothers, Richard Hicks, Sydney Hicks; Sister, Jeanette Bowley & husband Leroy Bowley; Daughter-in-law, Karina Richerson Willhoite & husband Robin Willhoite of Timpson, Texas.
