He was President of Shelby County Chamber of Commerce, a member of The Texas House of Representatives from 1961 to 1963, President of the Shelby County Bar Association since 1973. Bob also helped organize Little League Baseball, along with others, in Center, Texas in 1954. He was preceded in death by, Parents; Son, Robert F. Fairchild; Daughter, Jan Ellen Massey.
