Alice Joy Ellington Weaver, 95, of Center, died December 29, 2014 at her home. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Center, Texas. Joy Weaver was born on May 6, 1919, in Patroon, Texas, to Dr. John Henry Ellington and Verna Laura Bell Ellington. She was preceded in death by, Parents; Husband, Martin Weaver; Grandson, Barrett Marytin Havran. Survivors include, Daughter, Joy Ann Weaver Havran, Son-in-law, Bob Havran; Grandson, Blake Weaver Havran; Brother-in-law, Malcolm Weaver.

JOE LOYD POWDRILL
Joe Loyd Powdrill, 71, of Timpson, died December 26, 2014, at his home in the Silas Community. Interment was in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born May 30, 1943, in the Stockman Community, Shelby County, Texas. He was preceded in death by, Parents, Vernon and Era Powdrill; Sister Jennabeth Smyth. Survivors include, Sister, Joy Bonner & husband, Robert of Many, Louisiana; Niece, Becky Day & husband, Bill of Houston, Texas; Nephew, Reggie Bonner & wife, Barbara of Scotsboro, Alabama, The Schulz family; and many friends that helped to make Joe’s life delightful.
